getDirectoryFromPath Question
Hello - I've noticed something strange when using the getDirectoryFromPath function and wanted to see if anyone else has seen this. It's probably something I'm doing incorrectly. Here's what I'm doing: In the application.cfc, I created an application variable to hold the physical path of the web site files. Instead of manually entering the physical path (G:\ Inetpub\wwwroot), I used the getDirectoryFromPath function like this: #getdirectoryfrompath(expandpath('*.*'))# That returns the same thing. However, when I use the function above as the destination in the CFFILE function, it returns an error. The error says: The value of the attribute destination, which is currently G:\Inetpub\wwwroot\, is invalid. For some reason it adds a comma at the end of the physical path but I can't figure out why. Any ideas? I would appreciate any help. Thanks!! Yo Don! A cool thing about open source is that you can pay random coder(s) to do what you need. Doesn't have to be the creators-- tho they're obviously going to be the best. If you are running a business on the Railo software and need a rapid and guaranteed response, a support contract is probably not a bad idea at all. Railo support sounds amazing. Re: SSOT: open source software
To me some service contract like delivery of a fix of 8 days is too long. Probably I'll talk to the OSS's owner to negotiate a deal something later You know what, I strongly believe, any OSS documentation at a reasonable price, say, $200 or even a bit higher, would sell like hot cake, because everyone using/developing it would need it. But this option does not seem to be there already. And I don't think charging too much at initial/beta stage of a product would help it much... Also, I don't want to name names in case the note is misconstrued and that would not do them a service. Any ideas? I would appreciate any help. What others said, the comma is part of the error message, not the value. Can we see the full CFFILE? You probably need a filename there, not a directory path. ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? I've never been able to use a multipart identifier for a table in query of queries until we figured out that it does let you put brackets in... ie... asynchronous form values
I have a form page. Several of the fields are cfselect dropdowns with bind values that relate them to each other. I save the values in an object in session scope. This page by itself works perfect. You choose values, submit the form and when the page comes back, the values you chose are preselected. The problem is that I want the page as part of a tabbed interface. So the main page contains several tabs, and the page in question pulls up when you click on it's tab. When the form is submitted from within the tab, the default values are not selected. My research tells me that form values submitted asynchronously are not saved like you would expect in a normal page submit. How can I save and reference the chosen form values when the from is asynchronous. -- David Mineer Jr - The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It's as simple as that.
