Re: Parsing txt

2011-09-20 Thread Andrew Scott

Problem with phone numbers is the format, but you should be able to use the
email code and modify it with regular expressions to do phone numbers.

By the way harvesting can be a pain in the butt, but if you sort of know the
format regular expressions are a must. And there are plenty of examples if
you Google what you are looking for.

For example Google phone validation will return regular expressions for many
different styler of numbers, whether it be international or local.

Re: Solr Summary Text

2011-09-20 Thread Victor Moore

Dean,

I will greatly appreciated if you can find them. I have looked
everywhere and nothing pops up as obvious.
There a number of people having the same issue in the last few months
but no definitive answer and (unfortunately) Adobe is not very
helpful. If anything the docs are wrong as ContextBytes has no effect.
One will think that after 2+years since the product was released they
will at least update the docs.

 Hey Victor,

Yes, I was finally able to get this working. If I remember correctly,
it was a combination of editing the schema.xml and the solrconfig.xml
files. However, I don't remember what updates I actually made. I will
try to compare my backup files with the live files that are working.
I'm pretty swamped over the next couple of days, but I will try to
post my results as soon as I can.

Re: Question on scopes

2011-09-20 Thread Al Musella, DPM

Using url variables have an advantage in that you can bookmark the
page and return to it or even share the page.
IF you want to hide them, you can use a form submission or even use ajax

At 04:10 PM 9/19/2011, you wrote:

@Jonah,

Thanks for the solution. Currently, I have been using the same way as you
suggested. Was just wondering if there a different way to do the same
instead of passing url variables on each page, like define once, use
everywhere. (in my case session/client scope have to be ruled out)

Thanks.

Re: Question on scopes

2011-09-20 Thread Larry Lyons

Or you can just do

Can we use Request scope in this type of situations?

Request is available to all templates within the request scope but it does not
persist. If you want the variable to persist, use the session scope. However
remember to use an exclusive lock when setting the variable.

Generating Thumbnails of file contents

Hello to all.

I know we can generate thumbnails of PDFs with cfpdf, but is there a way
with CF to generate thumbnails for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and text files?

If not, is there some service some where that I can hook into for realtime
conversion?

Thanks.

Coldfuion 9 and ORM

2011-09-20 Thread Tom (J7 Group)

Hi,

We have an application that uses several data sources, and have read an
article
(http://www.adobe.com/devnet/coldfusion/articles/coldfusion9_orm.html) that
says; Hibernate integration can work with only one data source within a
given ColdFusion application.

If this is the case, then is there a way around this?
