how to remove ?
I am not sure if this will show up for you, but sometimes I see characters such as a square in my text such as - Not sure if that showed up butat any rate (we get this because text originates on a mac and ends up of course on a pc). When I do a replace statement the square doesn't show up it shows up as a question mark. How can I replace something that my editor won't let me use? You are dealing with character encoding issues. The text in question was created with a different encoding, a Mac text, then it is being displayed in. You have three basic options, display the text in a compatible encoding to the one it is created with; create the text with an encoding compatible with the one it will be displayed with, or (as you asked) modify the text. To modify the text, you need to know what character(s) are not being understood. You can use or create a tool that will tell you the character codes in question. RE: 2 cfforms on same page problem
Yes.basically I have a search field at the top of the page (part of navigation) and then within the page body I have another form. I suppose a quick fix is to eliminate the top cfform being the only task it is doing is checking for a required field, but was curious if it is possible to use both a non flash cfform and a flash cfform on the same page. So sometimes it takes longer to get a question answered than I think it should. application.log, search engines and url variables...
I am having some instability issues with my coldFusion server. What I think is happening is that search enginge bots are going through pages that require a variable for example but being it doesn't have it, it creates an error that say ID isn't defined for example. This fills up application.log and which I think causes the performance issues. Is there anything I can do about this? I tried doing something like IF NOT IsDefined(url.id) cfset id = 0 or whatever to hopefully just not cause an error but that doesn't seem to work. Re: COM Object Method Not Found (Cybersource)
Any resolution on this? I am trying to connect ColdFusion to Cybersource. Joe, I am facing the same problem, would appreciate if you can share that hows was your problem resolved. Thanks, Vinay An interesting item to note is that the ASP code is passing in previously created components into this method call. When I try that it throws this error: An exception occurred when executing a Com method. The cause of this exception was that: AutomationException: 0x8000 - . The code for that part is as follows: oClient = CreateObject(COM,CyberSourceWS.Client); oClient.RunTransaction(merchantConfig, , ,oRequest, varReply, strErrorInfo) (where merchantConfig and oRequest are both previously created components ) Any ideas? I've been going crazy over this searching google, google groups, and macromedia forums. Re: Cybersource CF
Any resolution on this? I am trying to connect ColdFusion to Cybersource. Hi Mary, I have the same need for the scripts that would integrate cybersource into CF shopping cart. I am new to this list. How do you prefer to share it? anybody have a cybersource payment gateway script that they'd like to share? Hi RayI do have code for integrating it into CFWebstore if that's what you are looking for. Although I would expect you could easily figure it out from that for another use as well. --- Mary Jo Sminkey www.cfwebstore.com Author of CFWebstore, ColdFusion Ecommerce ~| ColdFusion MX7 by Adobe® Dyncamically transform webcontent into Adobe PDF with new ColdFusion MX7. Re: COM Object Method Not Found (Cybersource)
Any resolution on this? I am trying to connect ColdFusion to Cybersource. Hi Joe, Unfortunately it sounds like (and I don't know much about COM mind you, so you'll have to forgive any holes in this theory) the method you're trying to call on that COM object is overloaded and CF doesn't know how to call it properly. This is the sort of thing that could theoretically be resolved if it were a Java component with JavaCast() but unfortunately there is no ComCast() alternative (although that's the name of our Cable TV company :) ... plus JavaCast() last I knew only worked for identifying simple data types, so it wouldn't help you pass another instantiated COM object anyway. The only thing that leaps to my mind is that you would need to create another COM wrapper with just the one needed method that could identify and properly call the Cybersource object method. But then that's all theory on my part -- I have fixed a COM object when I had the source code, but it's not the sort of task I'm in a hurry to perform again. So I'm talking through my hat to some degree about things I really don't know from experience.
