Re: ColdFusion Builder what have I done?
Hi All, After much trial and error I did find the short cut key that causes the mess. If you are seeing \r\n for your carraige return/line feeds you probably hit the shortcut key Ctrl+. (that is control and the period key). Hitting that combination again should clear up your workspace. I looked everywhere I could think of in the group of settings used for cfbuilder and I could not find a visual representation of this setting. However, After figuring out the shortcut key, I was able to find where this short cut key is defined by looking in windowPreferencesGeneralKeys. I sorted by binding and found that Ctrl+. is bound to all HTML editors as Show Whitespace. I wanted to go ahead and post this so when someone hits that dang key combination again they'll be able to get out of it without having to reinstall. Thanks! Christine I bet there's a show whitespace checkbox in the CFBuilder properties as well, and that's actually the one you needed to uncheck. CFEclipse has it's own version of a couple core Eclipse options (not sure why), and CFB is probably no different. Not gonna help this time, of course, but maybe next time. And you can use the window preferences general keys preferences panel to figure out what keys you pressed to turn it on (and optionally unbind them). cheers, barneyb ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? ColdFusion Builder what have I done?
Somehow I pressed a key combination and turn on a feature that puts where I have tabs and for spaces and /r/n for carriage returns and new line in ColdFusion Builder. You can see exactly what I mean here: http://twitpic.com/aw9mg I have no idea what I did to turn this on and can't get rid of it any advice?
