Hi,

Massimo Foti wrote a pretty good image manipulation CFC called tmt_img. You can
get it at
http://www.olimpo.ch/tmt/cfc/tmt%5Fimg/

>From the site:
Get dimensions, crop or resize jpg and png files.

Version 2.0 is a huge improvement over previous versions, especially in terms
of image quality. Since there were also a few changes to the API, I renamed the
CFC (from tmt_java_img to tmt_img) but keep increasing the version number, so
it’s v 2.0 now.

While the quality of images created by previous versions was barely acceptable,
current quality is pretty good and should be more than fine for most, if any,
web-based applications.

Inside the zip file you can find a small, barebones demo.

Requires ColdFusion Server 6.1 or more.

Subject: ASPImage replacement (cfmx)

I'm considering replacing (finally) my ASPImage COM component with a
native java one for CFMX6.1

I use the following functionality
Sharpen
Scale
Rotate
Draw (text, paint rectangles, etc)
Overlay (draw image X on top of image Y) JPEG encoding.

Do do have any suggestions for me, and do you think they have any
performance / memory implications over ASPImage (besides just "pure java
is safer than java-com-bridging")

It would also be good if someone has a URL of a place where they show
how to migrate CF code doing X in ASPIMAGE to do it with the new
component.

Thanks in advance
