Ah yes...I see that one a lot too. People know the phrase well but not what the

Being a single (and geek) I do a lot of internet dating and horrid spelling and

a *very* small pool of guys to choose from. ;-)

To stay at least somewhat on topic as well...while I don't have direct
knowledge of this tag, having put many many hours into developing the code and
certifying it with FedEx for my ecommerce product, I'd agree that $200 might be
a good investment to save yourself a lot of time and hassle. The FedEx API was
one of the harder ones to work with in my experience, and their documentation
is often more confusing then helpful.

I've done that and got certified.

FDXShipRequest request is the one to get shipping labels, see FedEx
XML Transactions Guide for details.

I don't have an example of FDXShipRequest , but below is a working
example of FDXRateRequest (change to your own accountnumber,

for FDXShipRequest , just replace the FDXRateRequest xml content with

Hope this helps

In any case, it was called Cold Fusion for 3 years and ColdFusion for 9

RE: Fedex API?

2007-02-13 Thread Dave Hatz
Russ,
Check this out http://www.cftagstore.com/tags/cfxfedex.cfm

We are working on the FedEx API now, and Adiabata, Inc has a nice little
custom tag. Costs around 200.00, I think. We are in the trail and error to
see if we can get this working or not. Adiabata has some good support, I
have received timely responses and I haven't even purchased their tag yet.

It is a hell of lot better than using FedEx's crap. Their Tech support and
documentation sucks at best.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out for you.

Has anyone used the fedex api to print labels?

RE: Fedex API?

2007-02-13 Thread Russ
I don't know about buying a cf tag from somebody who can't spell ColdFusion.
It still bugs me everytime people spell ColdFusion as Cold Fusion, and ruins
their credibility in my eyes.

Fedex has a Java api, I believe. Shouldn't be that hard to call java from
CF, right?

Re: Fedex API?

2007-02-13 Thread Rey Bango
Russ,

I've used the XML Shipping Tool For Fedex® from Admin Pro Tools with
great success. It really is straightforward to use:

You know, that's how it was written for many years:
