Re: Move contents of a folder to a new location
Hi Rick Thats what the code is doing already, i want it to move the contents but leaving the actual folder behind, sorry i might not have explained this properly in the last comment On Wed, Sep 9, 2009 at 10:31 AM, Damo Drummdamien.dr...@quinn-group. com wrote: Im trying to move the contents of a folder once processed to a new folder, the only problem is, its moving the actual folder (testfiles) inside the processed folder. Can anyone suggest how I fix this; the contents within the testfiles folder are text docs and pdf's I found this comment in my code for CFFM: coldfusion can actually rename a directory into a new location, but bluedragon 6.1 could not, so I chose to use the moveDirectory() function instead However, I can't tell if this helps you. If you WANT to move the whole folder, including the folder itself... testfiles into the Processed folder.. then do this: cffile action=MOVE source=c:\inetpub\wwwroot\sites\qspool\www_root\testfiles destin ation=c:\inetpub\wwwroot\sites\qspool\www_root\Processed\testfiles You can check out the moveDirectory() function in cffm.cfc at http://svn.riaforge.org/cffm/cffm.cfc -- Rick Root CFFM - Open Source Coldfusion File Manager http://www.opensourcecf. com/cf ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? RE: Move contents of a folder to a new location
Read the contents of the folder using cfdirectory, then loop over this (it's a query) and use cffile to move each individual file.
