I just got an email from Kevin Benore, the founder. He 'pulled the plug' on cfopenbb. Galleon Update, was Re: cfopenbb
All this talk of cfopenbb got me to get off my butt and get another update to Galleon released. Version 1.4 is now released. Details may be found here: http://ray.camdenfamily.com/index.cfm/2005/8/29/Galleon-ColdFusion-Forums-14-Released Some 'big' features include sticky threads and the removal of a need for a mapping. The intial buzz has indeed died but the project has not...its just not moved as fast as some(most) would have liked...the intal buzz was, in my opinion, way too big over 120 developers volunteered...I doubt the team is half that size now and development has barely started if at all. Once some of the organization is settled and grup gets trimed down to the core developers/contributors I think the project will move along faster...but thsts just my take :) Adam H On 8/26/05, Tangorre, Michael [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: From: Matt Woodward [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] We're working--if you'd like to see things move faster, feel free to volunteer to help! The cf community could use some good applications like those in the PHP community. In this vein, if you get a minute (and the server isn't flaking out), try downloading Blogs onTap from the framework site... http://www.fusiontap.com/download ... Let me know what you think... I am of course, not stopping there, although I'm currently working toward getting the framework site on a more stable server and hopefully setting up a publicly accessible subversion server as an alternative means of getting the nightly builds with additional version info. Once those are done, I'm thinking the next small project will be a TinyMCE plugin, then I need to rebuild the forum (which I expect will take me about a week and be a better app -- last version took a little over 2 weeks iirc), and then will start working on some other small apps that will be important to my overall plans -- wiki (probably as another sample app), contacts, calendar, light-weight CRM. s. isaac dealey 954.522.6080 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~| Logware (www.logware.us): a new and convenient web-based time tracking application.
