[cfaussie] Re: Melbourne CFUG - What do you want to hear this year?
Hi Mark, Unfortunately, I won't be able to come to any meetings at least before Jun/July this year as I need to pick up my son at after school care between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. The time to take me from my place to the meeting place will be 40 mins or more. If I come to the meeting I'd like to hear more about the Flex CF integration or CF Exchange Server integration. I have some ideas, but I thought I would put it out there first to see what other people are looking for. If you live in Melbourne, and you don't come to a CFUG meeting, let us know why not, and what we can do to help you get your way here. We're always looking for new people. Also, we're never going to turn down presenters, so if you have a topic you want to present on (often a great way to warm up if you're presenting at a conference), please let me know! Hopefully we can get some good suggestions, and make this year an interesting one for everyone involved! :oD Mark -- E: [EMAIL PROTECTED] W: www.compoundtheory.com --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups cfaussie group. [cfaussie] Re: Melbourne CFUG - What do you want to hear this year?
Starting with Flex from a CF point of view can be daunting. There is a lot to learn and your way of thinking needs to change. I can do a talk on Flex for ColdFusion developers. Which will 1. Show you how to install Flex / CF (The easy way) 2. Show you how easily the two talk together 3. Show you all the basics of Flex components etc I wish I had someone to show me all this when I first started, as it's tricky and I tried several times before understanding even the correct setup. The whole Flex / CF thing is actually easy, easier than you might think, and this talk would show you just how easy. Now I'm away in February, but can do this talk in March if anyone is interested. PS: For the record, the Flex stuff blows away the CF8 ajax stuff. IMHO. But a different type of application. [cfaussie] ColdFusion IM gateways quick question
before I disappear down a rabbit hole chasing this shiny thing... (for CF8) I just wanted to check if this was still current: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/coldfusion/articles/imgateway_print.html and see what people were using for the XMPP server (Jive seems to have been replaced with Openfire 3.4.4 - previously WildFire) and perhaps ask if there was any gotcha's or decent reads (apart from Matt Woodwards article) any advice most welcome. thanx barry.b --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups cfaussie group.
