Having had a bit of a look - I agree that it's not his code - he's just got a fantastic site that's getting a pretty awesome volume of traffic - As far as I can tell, it's the most heavily trafficked Cold Fusion site on our shared platform and every now and then he's swamping the connection pooling enough that more then 35 concurrent connections are running. Other then some minor tuning of his queries - there's not much he could possibly have done except have a look at a dedicated SQL server. It says a lot about the quality of his application that it can handle as much traffic as it does from a shared platform to begin with.
