Both ;)

heheheh

Actually we had a keynote (training thing here at MS HQ) and Bill was there
doing his thing. He looks smaller than he does in the movies heheehhe

All is good, what would impress me if is if I bump into J.J. Allaire while
i'm in MSLand. That'd be rockstar for me hehe.

You can turn this off though. I got the [EMAIL PROTECTED] with that as well

trying the free RC version but I can really see (and appreciate) why it is
there. Definately a lot more secure with it on.

We have rolled it out on all desktops at ZeroOne, so far so good. A few

I should be saying positive stuff right about now right?

I've been using Vista for about 2 months now, all I can say is don't
knock it until you try it ;)

[cfaussie] Re: [WOT] Vista launches

2007-02-01 Thread Scott Barnes
Yeah I can see how folks could get somewhat confused with the pricing
models, in that what's home got that business doesn't have and what the hell
is Ultimate about etc.

It just means there is basically a few ways of how Vista can be used vs not.
Business is obviously focused more on business side of things (backups using
bitlocker etc). Home would be I guess for those folks who want to run up a
Vista Box with XBOX 360 and simply use it as a next gen version of Media
Centre

Ultimate is all that and more (Extras etc will gradually be slotted in, much
like Games do with downloadable content as population maturity gets reached)

The cool part about Vista for you guys would be that the HTML SDK that comes
with Media Centre could make some things relevant in your space of the
world.

2007-02-01 Thread Andrew Scott
Hey Scott,

M$ is know for complicating things, the release of Vista is typical and the
pricing structure sucks.

But it looks like a good product, I am not upgrading to it as it is to damn
expensive. Unless Scott Barnes is going to buy me a copy?
