Police Seek
Another Person Possibly Involved
BALTIMORE -- Police arrested a 16-year-old Saturday and seek
another person in connection to an armed carjacking last week.
WBAL-TV
11 News has learned that Baltimore City police arrested the teen at his northeast Baltimore home. The Baltimore City State's
Attorney's Office confirmed to 11 News the identity of the teen as Christopher Watts,
who is also known as Hakim Veney.
Authorities
charged Watts as an adult with counts of
assault, armed carjacking and abduction. He remains held at Central Booking.
Police
said Keith Slaughter loaded computer equipment into
his car on Feb. 1 near the Catholic Charities office where he works in Baltimore's Charles Village
neighborhood.
According
to police, two robbers, one armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, forced
him into the back seat and drove off.
Police
said Slaughter was forced into the truck of his vehicle near the Mount Pleasant
Golf Course. A short time later, police said, Slaughter was able to unlock the
trunk from the inside when the assailants stopped the car.
Four
hours later, the car was found abandoned in the 1400 block of Carswell Street.
