Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Chemistry cmislib 0.4 (2nd vote)

The original vote for this release was withdrawn to address issues with the build. The issues that have been addressed since the original vote are: * Exclude the tests from the egg * Embed the license and notice files in the egg * Add your gpg key to the KEYS file * Move the KEYS file to the root of svn * Tweak the md5/sha1 format In addition, I have added the fix for CMIS-292, which is the Python 2.7 unicode decode problem Stefane discovered. You can find the main release candidate artifacts (for distribution at apache.org/dist) at: http://people.apache.org/~jpotts/chemistry/cmislib/0.4/dist These artifacts represent what is currently in cmislib head. You need to have something in the release that makes clear that Chemistry is still an incubating project, and not a full Apache (non-incubating) release http://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html#notes-disclaimer If you look in the opencmis releases, you'll see there's a DISCLAIMER file in there that you can include with a tweak to the name Also you should potentially tweak the version / artificats to include the word incubating. For example, in opencmis one file is chemistry-opencmis-dist-0.2.0-incubating-client.zip so maybe the files should be cmislib-0.4-incubating (As soon as chemistry graduates, you can ditch the DISCLAIMER file and -incubating from the artifact names) Sorry for not spotting that before. Any chance you could re-roll one more? Thanks Nick

Alas the first release always takes longer than all subsequent ones :/ I think we should be there now though, when these changes are done...! Nick
