[Chevelle-list] Reinstalling rear window moulding
I removed all the factory clips and put all new ones on when we cleaned up the rust in the channel. The new ones aren't as snug as the others but they do look to be almost identical. It seems the moulding sits down in the channel OK but as I work it in some areas pop back out. Anybody experienced this before and/or how do I get it seated again? Thanks for your comments! Darren

Even though it is just a cruiser you still need to verify for yourself what you really want. I have gone from the Edelbrock Performer, to the Performer RPM and now the Performer RPM Air Gap. They are all very close in price so the latest one is what I would suggest as it is a dual-plane intake with a power band of 1600rpm to 6000rpm. I agree with the solenoid idea. Also keep in mind just because a cable looks good doesn't mean it is. You can never get enough ground in my opinion so I have a new ground cable from the battery to the head on the engine (not the alternator bracket)as well as the heavier wire also from the negative battery cable to the fender using a star washer. Hey Harlan, It sounds like you do have a carb issue but I dont think it is due to the size. The usual checks are to make sure your floats are set right, timing is where your engine likes it, all ignition parts are good (plugs, wires, cap and rotor), and you know what your shooter size is. Give me a shout and maybe we can wrestle with it some weekend soon! Yes, you do need this cable! Get a replacement and get it installed. It makes a huge difference in how your tranny operates. It will shift it down automatically for you when you get on it. Gl Wayne Clint: Somewhere else to start looking is the pump driveshaft and see if it's binding up. An oil pump locking up is very unusual. Well I found the cause of my dist gear brakage. My oil pump is almost froze up. I went to turn it befor putting in the new dist. And it is so hard to turn and it seams to catch (Hard spots). this is a 454 I never had problem befor in all my years dealing with chevys. Any input from any body would be great.
