[cia-drugs] Re: Marshals: Innocent People Placed On 'Watch List' To Meet Quota
You're also on the Homeland Security watch list if you hold an "interest-only" home mortgage or a "125% debt-to-equity jumbo loan", according to Homeland Insecurity Agency(HIA dialed 911 and you answered!). Seriously, this item comes from a man whose job it is. You may hit this other places than the airport, for instance with respect to security clearances and hiring discrimination. -Bob --- In cia-drugs@yahoogroups.com, "Vigilius Haufniensis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/9559707/detail.html?taf=den > Marshals: Innocent People Placed On 'Watch List' To Meet Quota > Marshals Say They Must File One Surveillance Detection Report, Or SDR, Per Month > > POSTED: 9:49 pm MDT July 21, 2006 > UPDATED: 10:56 pm MDT July 21, 2006 > > > DENVER -- You could be on a secret government database or watch list for simply taking a picture on an airplane. [cia-drugs] Disarming Private Forces in Southern Lebanon
Condeleeza Rice laid out a plan today 7/25/2006 for disarming private armies in southern Lebanon and replacing them with private armies from New Orleans. Apparently a private army in southern Lebanon made the mistake of building a hospital and hosting two Israeli soldiers in a mediterranean resort at a seminar on "POW exchange as a gesture of Israeli commitment to withdraw from Golan Heights asap". Bush Warco's private air force has been disarming itself in southern Lebanon, ridding itself of US bombs and rockets by dropping them from six hundred US fighter jets and firing rockets from hundreds of US helicopters. Bush Warco mercenary air force operates under light cover, using Israeli nationals to pilot US weapons platforms and deliver US munitions to civilian targets in southern Lebanon. Bush Warco's attempt to disarm its private air force by delivering all ordinance in inventory has met with serious resistance. It seems that the US has been resupplying its private air force with new bombs and rockets from the US faster than US warplanes can be disarmed by bombing and rocketing apartment buildings, refugee columns, hospitals, muslim and Christian residential neighborhoods, soccer mom minivans, and ambulances in southern Lebanon. After hurricane Katrina, Alabama national guard commandant, General Russell Honore, disarmed forward elements of Bush Warco's private army near the New Orleans convention center. "Lower your goddamn weapons", Honore ordered the privateers. Bush Warco's private army in New Orleans did not rebuild the hospital, and Bush Warco's private air force has bombed the hospital in Tyre, Lebanon, which private army Hezbollah built. Bush Warco's private air force also rockets Christian Lebanese ambulances, easily differentiated from the air by a red cross on the roof, as opposed to a red crescent on the roof of ambulances from the bombed Hezbollah hospital. Hezbollah was able to chase Bush Warco's private air and ground forces out of southern Lebanon once before, but there is not much hope those private forces will succeed in disarming themselves. In addition to US resupply with bombs and rockets and spare parts, Bush Warco's private troops from New Orleans will not be rebuilding the hospital in Tyre, Lebanon, either. 11,000 FEMA trailers near the airport in Hope, Arkansas, await transport by privatized cargo jets to southern Lebanon, to be used as base housing by Bush Warco private armies from New Orleans, to prevent the Hezbollah private army from rebuilding the hospital Hezbollah built and Bush Warco private air force bombed in Tyre. 7/25/2006 Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki delivered an ultimatum today to the twice unelected smirking chimp Vietnam deserter and chief pab ramf chickenhawk of fourth generation Bush Warco."Clearly and candidly", diplo lingo for laying down the law, al-Maliki demanded that Bush Warco begin withdrawal of its supremely unpopular liberation army-of-one from Iraq today, if not sooner.Bush Warco advertising department has already popped smoke to cover US retreat from Iraq to the vicinity of the Baghdad airport. Goebbels is casting the first stage of US withdrawal, consisting of moving US troops from the provinces to the Iraqi capital, as "sure to increase security" in Saigon, putting more US troops on the streets of Cholon. __._,_.___ Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/ July 25, 2006 -- "Suicide" claims another official involved with Enron case. Former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas and member of President Bush's Corporate Fraud Task Force Michael T. Shelby, 47, shot himself to death at his home in northwest Houston on July 18, according to Houston police. The police immediately ruled out foul play in the suicide death of Shelby who served as chief U.S. prosecutor in Houston from 2001 to 2005 when he joined the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski where he worked on corporate fraud cases. Shelby was reported to be suffering from cancer. Shelby first worked for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Houston in 1989, moved to Phoenix, and in 2001 returned to Houston to take the U.S. Attorney's job. More interestingly, Shelby, as U.S. Attorney, recused himself from investigating those involved in the Enron scandal, including Ken Lay, Jeffrey Skilling, and Andrew Fastow. In January 2002, former Enron Vice Chairman Cliff Baxter allegedly shot himself to death in his car near his Houston home. Former Enron Chairman Ken Lay died suddenly of a heart attack earlier this month in Aspen, Colorado. [cia-drugs] First men on Moon saw UFO
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1808694.cms First men on Moon saw UFO NEW YORK: A new documentary reveals the US was so eager to show its one-upmanship over Russians during the Cold War that it launched the mission to Moon without much scientific precision or the required precautions. The mission came to be launched in hope rather than in expectation. The doucmentary, Apollo 11: The Untold Story, brings out several lacunae that would have caused a disaster. The uncertainty was so strong that the then US president Richard Nixon had even prepared an address to the nation announcing that the three astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins had died in a space mishap. Aldrin, now 76, interviewed by the documentary makers, narrated how he found to his dismay that a vital switch got damaged as one of the astronauts brushed against it in a bulky spacesuit. He said as he looked around some of the lunar dust on the floor, he found there was something that did not belong to the Moon a broken part of a circuit breaker. That was a vital link for the trio to return to the earth in safety. "In the countdown procedure, I used a pen, one of several that we had on board that didn't have metal on the end, and we used that to push the circuit breaker in." The documentary provides an account of the crisis when the landing module was thrown off course by a computer breakdown as it was about to land. Armstrong managed to land with just 15 seconds of fuel left. There were problems about escape procedures for the astronauts. Classified documents that have been made public indicate Nasa never told the astronauts the escape procedures could be useless as they would work only if the Saturn V rocket that powered their craft had broken off. The US government had ordered ground control to cut links with the astronauts if a disaster occurred. They was more concerned about the world watching. Aldrin also revealed that he and other astronauts had reported seeing a UFO during the flight, but Nasa had covered it up. He said, "There was something out there, close enough to be observed, and what could it be? Obviously, we weren't going to blurt out, 'Hey Houston, we've got something moving alongside of us and we don't know what it is,' you know?" __._,_.___ Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. [cia-drugs] 3 held in Italian banker`s kidnap-murder
http://news.monstersandcritics.com/europe/article_1183229.php/3_held_in_Italian_banker`s_kidnap-murder 3 held in Italian banker`s kidnap-murder MILAN, Italy (UPI) -- Three men have been charged in the murder of a banker after he left a meeting of the conservative Catholic group Opus Dei, Italian media reported Saturday. The men -- financial consultant Filippo Botteri, computer expert Emilio Toscani and workman Marco Baldi -- were charged with kidnapping banker Gianmario Roveraro, 70, as he was going home from an Opus Dei meeting July 5, and later killing and dismembering him. Roveraro`s body was found Friday, chopped into pieces and hidden in a hut beneath a highway overpass about 18 miles from Parma, Italy, news agencies RadioCor and ANSA reported Saturday. The kidnapping and murder are alleged to have stemmed from a failed property transaction in which the Botteri lost a substantial amount of money, the news agencies said. Roveraro had been questioned over a huge corporate scandal involving Parmalat SpA, the now-bankrupt Italian dairy and food corporation, which in 2003 reported a nearly $18 billion hole in its accounting records in one of the biggest corporate scandals in history. Roveraro had close ties with Opus Dei, ANSA said, but police have made no link between his disappearance and the secretive organization. Following the discovery of Roveraro`s dismembered body, a spokesman for Opus Dei said: 'We want to express our closeness to the upset family. This death has hit Opus Dei very hard.' __._,_.___ Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. OM YAHOO! [cia-drugs] Marshals: Innocent People Placed On 'Watch List' To Meet Quota
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/9559707/detail.html?taf=den Marshals: Innocent People Placed On 'Watch List' To Meet Quota Marshals Say They Must File One Surveillance Detection Report, Or SDR, Per Month POSTED: 9:49 pm MDT July 21, 2006 UPDATED: 10:56 pm MDT July 21, 2006 DENVER -- You could be on a secret government database or watch list for simply taking a picture on an airplane. Some federal air marshals say they're reporting your actions to meet a quota, even though some top officials deny it. The air marshals, whose identities are being concealed, told 7NEWS that they're required to submit at least one report a month. If they don't, there's no raise, no bonus, no awards and no special assignments. "Innocent passengers are being entered into an international intelligence database as suspicious persons, acting in a suspicious manner on an aircraft ... and they did nothing wrong," said one federal air marshal. These unknowing passengers who are doing nothing wrong are landing in a secret government document called a Surveillance Detection Report, or SDR. Air marshals told 7NEWS that managers in Las Vegas created and continue to maintain this potentially dangerous quota system. "Do these reports have real life impacts on the people who are identified as potential terrorists?" 7NEWS Investigator Tony Kovaleski asked. "Absolutely," a federal air marshal replied. 7NEWS obtained an internal Homeland Security document defining an SDR as a report designed to identify terrorist surveillance activity. "When you see a decision like this, for these reports, who loses here?" Kovaleski asked. "The people we're supposed to protect -- the American public," an air marshal said. What kind of impact would it have for a flying individual to be named in an SDR? "That could have serious impact ... They could be placed on a watch list. They could wind up on databases that identify them as potential terrorists or a threat to an aircraft. It could be very serious," said Don Strange, a former agent in charge of air marshals in Atlanta. He lost his job attempting to change policies inside the agency. That's why several air marshals object to a July 2004 memo from top management in the Las Vegas office, a memo that reminded air marshals of the SDR requirement. The body of the memo said, "Each federal air marshal is now expected to generate at least one SDR per month." "Does that memo read to you that Federal Air Marshal headquarters has set a quota on these reports?" Kovaleski asked. "Absolutely, no doubt," an air marshal replied. A second management memo, also dated July 2004, said, "There may come an occasion when you just don't see anything out of the ordinary for a month at a time, but I'm sure that if you are looking for it, you'll see something." Another federal air marshal said that not only is there a quota in Las Vegas for SDRs, but that "it directly reflects on (their) performance evaluations" and on how much money they make. The director of the Air Marshal Service, Dana Brown, declined 7NEWS' request for an interview on the quota system. But the agency points to a memo from August 2004 that said there is not a quota for submitting SDRs and which goes on to say, "I do not expect reports that are inaccurate or frivolous." But, Las Vegas-based air marshals say the quota system remains in force, now more than two years after managers sent the original memos, and that it's a mandate from management that impacts annual raises, bonuses, awards and special assignments. "To meet this quota, to get their raises, do you think federal air marshals in Las Vegas are making some of this stuff up?" Kovaleski asked. "I know they are. It's a joke," an air marshal replied. "Have marshals in the Las Vegas office, I don't want to say fabricated, but 'created' reports?" Kovaleski asked. "Creative writing -- stretching a long ways the truth, yes," an air marshal replied. One example, according to air marshals, occurred on one flight leaving Las Vegas, when an unknowing passenger, most likely a tourist, was identified in an SDR for doing nothing more than taking a photo of the Las Vegas skyline as his plane rolled down the runway. "You're saying that was not an accurate portrayal of a potential terrorist activity?" Kovaleski asked. "No, it was not," an air marshal said. "It was a marshal trying to meet a quota ..." Kovaleski said. "Yes, he was," the air marshal replied. Strange said he didn't have a quota in the Atlanta office when he was in charge. "I would never have done that ... You are going to have people reporting every suspicious looking activity they come across, whether they in their heart feel like it's a threat, just to meet the quota," Strange said. Strange and other air marshals said the quota allows the government to fill a database with bad information. A Las Vegas air marshal said he didn't write an SDR every month for exactly that

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=17435592&method=full&siteid=66633&headline=man-on-moon--we-saw-a-ufo--name_page.html MAN ON MOON: WE SAW A UFO Astronauts' close encounter By Mike Swain THE first men to walk on the Moon reported seeing a UFO, a new TV documentary reveals. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the Moon's surface after Neil Armstrong, says space agency bosses covered up their sighting. And the Apollo 11 astronauts were also careful not to talk ab out it openly. He said: "There was something out there, close enough to be observed, and what could it be? "Now, obviously the three of us weren't going to blurt out, 'Hey, Houston, we've got something moving alongside of us and we don't know what it is, you know? "Can you tell us what it is?' "We weren't about to do that, because we knew that that those transmissions would be heard by all sorts of people and somebody might have demanded we turn back because of aliens or whatever the reason is." The documentary, tonight on Five, also reveals that the astronauts had to repair the lunar module with a ballpoint pen after the historic landing in July 1969. In the cramped conditions, someone's bulky spacesuit had snapped off a circuit breaker essential for starting up the engine. To this day, Aldrin treasures the everyday object that saved their lives. He said: "I used a pen, one of several that we had on board that didn't have metal on the end, and we used that to push the circuit breaker in." The programme also draws on classified documents made public for the first time. __._,_.___ Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/07/24/D8J2NMN80.htmlSpecter Prepping Bill to Sue BushJul 24 9:59 PM US/EasternBy LAURIE KELLMANAssociated Press WriterWASHINGTONA powerful Republican committee chairman who has led the fight against President Bush's signing statements said Monday he would have a bill ready by the end of the week allowing Congress to sue him in federal court."We will submit legislation to the United States Senate which will...authorize the Congress to undertake judicial review of those signing statements with the view to having the president's acts declared unconstitutional," Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said on the Senate floor.Specter's announcement came the same day that an American Bar Association task force concluded that by attaching conditions to legislation, the president has sidestepped his constitutional duty to either sign a bill, veto it, or take no action.Bush has issued at least 750 signing statements during his presidency, reserving the right to revise, interpret or disregard laws on national security and constitutional grounds."That non-veto hamstrings Congress because Congress cannot respond to a signing statement," said ABA president Michael Greco. The practice, he added "is harming the separation of powers."Bush has challenged about 750 statutes passed by Congress, according to numbers compiled by Specter's committee. The ABA estimated Bush has issued signing statements on more than 800 statutes, more than all other presidents combined.Signing statements have been used by presidents, typically for such purposes as instructing agencies how to execute new laws. But many of Bush's signing statements serve notice that he believes parts of bills he is signing are unconstitutional or might violate national security.Still, the White House said signing statements are not intended to allow the administration to ignore the law."A great many of those signing statements may have little statements about questions about constitutionality," said White House spokesman Tony Snow. "It never says, 'We're not going to enact the law.'"Specter's announcement intensifies his challenge of the administration's use of executive power on a number of policy matters. Of particular interest to him are two signing statements challenging the provisions of the USA Patriot Act renewal, which he wrote, and legislation banning the use of torture on detainees.Bush is not without congressional allies on the matter. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, a former judge, has said that signing statements are nothing more than expressions of presidential opinion that carry no legal weight because federal courts are unlikely to consider them when deciding cases that challenge the same laws. __._,_.___ Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. [cia-drugs] Senator ditches bill tied to 'superstate'
http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=51222THE NEW WORLD DISORDERSenator ditches bill tied to 'superstate'Makes decision after WND points out link to 'North American Union'Posted: July 25, 20061:00 a.m. EasternBy Jerome R. Corsi© 2006 WorldNetDaily.comSen. John Cornyn, R-TexasResponding to information from WorldNetDaily, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has taken steps to ensure the Senate will not act on a bill that would further a plan to create a European Union-style alliance in North America.Cornyn made the decision after WND pointed out Friday the legislation the North American Investment Fund Act would constitute an attempt to pass a key piece of American University Professor Robert Pastor's plan to create a "North American Union."Yesterday, Cornyn's office notified WND the senator had been assured by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that no action will be taken on Senate bill 3622 in the 109th Congress. If the Senate Foreign Relations Committee does not act, the bill will expire at the end of the term in January."Senator Cornyn has no intention of filing the bill again until after we have conducted an internal review and inquiry," a spokesman for Cornyn told WND.The spokesman clarified Cornyn "is adamantly opposed to any 'North American Union' being formed like the EU has been formed in Europe."Cornyn's office had no explanation, however, for why the legislation was introduced, except to note the senator "continues to believe that if Mexico would adopt free market principles, it would be in the best interest of the United States."The spokesman further added that Cornyn will continue "to look for ways to encourage the forces of reform within Mexico."WND showed Cornyn's office Friday that a content analysis of the bill demonstrated its similarity to some of Pastor's writings. The correlation was so strong, WND told the senator's staff, a conclusion could be reliably drawn that the person drafting and proposing the legislation drew from Pastor's writings and intended to advance his political agenda to create a "North American Union."Pastor's extensive writings repeatedly have called for the creation of a North American Investment Fund, to develop Mexico, as a key step on a road map to a new regional government. In his 2001 book "Toward a North American Community," Pastor argued a North American Development Fund would advance the "North American integration" needed to produce the union as a regional super-government along the model of the European Union.Pastor was vice chairman of a May 2005 task force report by the Council on Foreign Relations entitled "Building a North American Community." Creating a North American Investment Fund was a key recommendation of the CFR task force report. On March 14, 2005, Pastor published a 57 page paper entitled "The Paramount Challenge for North America: Closing the Development Gap."The paper is Pastor's most comprehensive statement explaining why a North American Investment Fund is central to his plan to integrate North America as a first step in the creation of a continental union.Pastor presented his recommendation that a North American Development Bank should be created in an address to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the House of Commons in Ottawa, Canada, Feb. 7, 2002.The three leaders [of Canada, Mexico, and the U.S.] should establish a North American Development fund, whose priority would be to connect the U.S.-Mexican border region to central and southern Mexico. If roads were built, investors would come, immigration would decline, and income disparities would narrow. If Mexico's growth rate leaped to twice that of its neighbors, the psychology of the relationship would be changed. The language is similar to Senate bill 3622, which in Section 4, "Projects Funded," states as the first purpose of the fund "to construct roads in Mexico to facilitate trade between Mexico and Canada, and Mexico and the United States."Section 4, part (b)(2) of the bill further specifies: "PRIORITY in selecting grantees to carry out projects in subsection (a)(1), priority should be given to projects in the interior and southern regions of Mexico that connect to more developed markets in the United States and Canada."When Pastor's proposal surfaced in the May 2005 CFR task force report, the name had evolved to the "North American Investment Fund," identical to the title of Senate bill 3622. On page 14, the CFR report says:The United States and Canada should establish a North American Investment Fund to encourage private capital flow into Mexico. The fund would focus on increasing and improving physical infrastructure linking the less developed parts of Mexico to markets in the north, improving primary and secondary education, and technical training in states and municipalities committed to transparency and institutional development. The Senate bill in Section 4(a
[cia-drugs] Fwd: Diebold & VoteScam -- Worst Fears CONFIRMED
Begin forwarded message:From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Date: July 25, 2006 12:53:45 PM PDTTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]Subject: Diebold & VoteScam -- Worst Fears CONFIRMED THE DIEBOLD BOMBSHELL by David Dill, Doug Jones and Barbara Simons July 23, 2006 http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_david_di_060723_the_diebold_bombshel.htm Most computer scientists have long viewed Diebold as the poster child for all that is wrong with touch screen voting machines. But we never imagined that Diebold would be as irresponsible and incompetent as they have turned out to be. Recently, computer security expert Harri Hursti revealed serious security vulnerabilities in Diebold's software. According to Michael Shamos, a computer scientist and voting system examiner in Pennsylvania, "It's the most severe security flaw ever discovered in a voting system." Even more shockingly, we learned recently that Diebold and the State of Maryland had been aware of these vulnerabilities for at least two years. They were documented in analysis, commissioned by Maryland and conducted by RABA Technologies, published in January 2004. For over two years, Diebold has chosen not to fix the security holes, and Maryland has chosen not to alert other states or national officials about these problems. Basically, DIEBOLD INCLUDED A "BACK DOOR" IN ITS SOFTWARE, ALLOWING ANYONE TO CHANGE OR MODIFY THE SOFTWARE. There are no technical safeguards in place to ensure that only authorized people can make changes. A malicious individual with access to a voting machine could rig the software without being detected. Worse yet, IF THE ATTACKER RIGGED THE MACHINE USED TO COMPUTE THE TOTALS FOR SOME PRECINCT, HE OR SHE COULD ALTER THE RESULTS OF THAT PRECINCT. The only fix the RABA authors suggested was to warn people that manipulating an election is against the law. Typically, modern voting machines are delivered several days before an election and stored in people's homes or in insecure polling stations. A wide variety of poll workers, shippers, technicians, and others who have access to these voting machines could rig the software. Such software alterations could be difficult to impossible to detect. Diebold spokesman David Bear admitted to the New York Times that THE BACK DOOR WAS INSERTED INTENTIONALLY "so that election officials would be able to update their systems easily." Bear justified Diebold's actions by saying, "For there to be a problem here, you're basically assuming a premise where you have some evil and nefarious election officials who would sneak in and introduce a piece of software... I don't believe those evil elections people exist." While Diebold's confidence in election officials is heartwarming, Diebold has placed election officials in an awkward position, with no defense against disgruntled candidates or voters questioning the results of an election. The situation is even worse for those states and localities using Diebold touch-screen machines that have no voter-verified paper records to recount. Diebold voting machines have been certified to be in compliance with 2002 Voting System Standards, as required by the Help America Vote Act. These standards prohibit software features that raise any doubt "that the software tested during the qualification process remains unchanged and retains its integrity." We must ask, how did software containing such an outrageous violation come to be certified, and what other flaws, yet to be uncovered, lurk in other certified systems? There have been many significant problems - some resulting in lost votes - involving paperless voting machines produced by other vendors. Recognizing the intrinsic risks of paperless voting machines, the Association for Computing Machinery issued a statement saying that each voter should be able "to inspect a physical (e.g., paper) record to verify that his or her vote has been accurately cast and to serve as an independent check on the result." Without voter-verified paper records of all the votes, and without routine spot audits of these records, no currently available voting system can be trusted. With such records, even when machines do not function correctly, each voter can make sure that his or her vote has been correctly recorded on paper. Our democracy depends on our having secure, reliable, and accurate elections. David L. Dill is a Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University and the founder of VerifiedVoting.org. [cia-drugs] The PM, the mogul and the secret agenda
The PM, the mogul and the secret agenda Tony Blair flies to California this week to address the annual get-together of News Corporation - led by one Rupert Murdoch. >From Europe to broadcasting, terrorism to the direction of the nation, what is the truth about one of the most intriguing relationships in British public life? Gaby Hinsliff, political editorSunday July 23, 2006The Observer From its manicured golf course with the breathtaking ocean view, to its pampering spa, the Pebble Beach resort in California should be an ideal spot to unwind. But the guests checking in next weekend - globetrotting politicians, hotshot analysts and senior executives from Rupert Murdoch's mighty News Corporation - are not here to relax. They will gather for one of the media empire's legendary conferences, an intellectual beauty parade before one of the most powerful men on the planet. Careers will be made and broken this weekend, millions staked or withheld. The man described by a Downing Street spin doctor as the hidden member of Tony Blair's cabinet is looking to the future: and the decisions Murdoch makes could change the way you read, watch, consume and, perhaps, even vote. Which is why Blair is going. The fortunes of New Labour and News Corp have always been entwined, but just how closely is now emerging. The Observer can reveal the extraordinary efforts Blair and Murdoch make to conceal their relationship, even arranging clandestine meetings abroad because the tycoon regarded Downing Street as too public. Also clear for the first time is the belief among senior aides that Blair would have held a referendum on the euro had it not been for the Eurosceptic Murdoch newspapers. It can also be disclosed that News International's latest lobbying offensive is against the BBC's bid for a significant rise in its licence fee. Murdoch fears the above-inflation increase would give the corporation an unfair advantage in developing new markets. But does Murdoch really wield the unhealthy influence his enemies claim, skewing the British political debate thanks to the sheer number of his media outlets - or is he just one among many voices, and one that, so News Corp insiders protest, is often ignored by the Government? And can Labour keep his support once Blair steps down? Gnomic utterances from the tycoon last month, indicating that he could back either Gordon Brown or David Cameron at the next election, have only intensified the battle for his affections. Asked on US television yesterday what he thought of Cameron, the brutal retort was 'not much' - but while Brown is still ahead in his esteem, the tycoon has doubts about him as well. 'He's sending a signal, which is, "My vote is up for grabs and you've got to work for it",' says one ex-minister. At Pebble Beach they will ponder the future of the media in a digital era - and the future of the planet, with former presidential candidate Al Gore screening his film on climate change. But this is also about Blair's future, and ultimately New Labour's. His invitation is partly a personal tribute, a signal that Murdoch wants an 'enduring relationship' with Blair once he leaves Downing Street. 'Being a friend of Rupert's is a very valuable thing in America,' says one of Murdoch's intimates, who argues the media magnate will want to offer the departing premier a job. Choosing Blair also, however, avoids having to invite, and therefore endorse, either Brown or Cameron... just yet. Because for all its fabled power, Murdoch's flagship newspaper is now almost as nervous as Labour about its choice. The Sun's reputation depends on backing winners and, unsure which way the electorate is now swinging, it knows if it picks the loser next time, it may end up looking like a chump. 'People are beginning to question whether it's got the political clout it had. If you call this wrong then I think a lot of people will say, "It's now dead as a political force,"' says one former News International executive. The two sides teeing off in California are more evenly matched than they look. It was Neil Kinnock - convinced the Sun's hostility cost him the 1992 election - who persuaded Blair to take the tabloid seriously. Within months of Blair's coronation as leader of the Labour Party, the carefully courted Murdoch was telling his editors this was 'someone you could imagine people voting for'. His blessing matters not just because a man who owns a paper that reaches 42 per cent of the reading market should know what makes people tick. Chasing the Sun's endorsement in 1997 after decades of support for the Tories symbolised New Labour's coming of age. 'It was what a party wanting to be in government would do,' explains one architect of the New Labour project. 'It continues to have a symbolic importance that is not actually because of Murdoch, because it's a right-of-centre newspaper and modern politics is about building coalitions.' The S
[cia-drugs] “Turkish DeepState Gate”
Begin forwarded message:http://waynemadsenreport.com/A recent article published in the U.K. Guardian about the well-connected Kurdish Baybasin clan also gives important backing to the former translator’s story. The article details how Europe’s “Pablo Escobar”, Huseyin Baybasin, has “alleged that he had received the assistance of Turkish embassies and consulates while moving huge consignments of drugs around Europe, and that Turkish army officers serving with NATO in Belgium were also involved." This information, of course, dovetails most precisely with what Sibel Edmonds has been hinting at for over 3 years now; that targets of FBI investigations linked with the Turkish embassy and Turkish organizations were involved in narcotics trafficking. It is clear the Baybasin gang and the secular factions in Turkey had a seemingly symbiotic relationship, with the government providing the traffickers diplomatic passports and thus free reign to travel around the world without fear of prosecution. Also involved in the scandalous Turkish drug running are the very notorious, Pope-killing Grey Wolves, a fascist organization connected to human rights abuses in Turkey. As for who else besides Hastert might have been on the payroll of Mr. Baybasin and friends- we turn next to the Executive Branch. In an interview with Chris Deliso of antiwar.com, Edmonds hinted at key roles played by some powerful unelected officials-important Neoconservatives like Marc Grossman of the State Department, and Richard Perle and Douglas Feith, formerly of the Defense Department. If we hit the rewind button and go back to a CBS 60 Minutes’ interview in October, 2002, we remember the ex-contract linguist stated that Turkish targets of FBI investigation had spies inside the U.S. State Department and at the Pentagon in order to “obtain the United States military and intelligence secrets.” It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that Grossman, Feith and Perle might have been the persons to whom she was referring in 2002. Furthermore, the language specialist has repeatedly stated in past interviews that investigations into pre-9/11 terrorist financing activities were blocked “per State Department request”, leaving open the question whether it was Mr. Grossman, then Undersecretary of State for European Affairs, who actively hindered investigations into the Turkey-Bin Laden link.Perle and Feith are an interesting case in this hidden scandal. Their consultancy, International Advisors (IA), has done extensive work for the Republic of Turkey, though it is questionable who is paying the invoices. Ms. Edmonds rhetorically asked the question of Phoenix radio personality Charles Goyette in January 2006, “For what [were they paid]? One could imagine, hypothetically, that passing state secrets might be one “service” provided to the Turkish mafia/government by IA. But would Perle and Feith have gone beyond that? Would they have introduced the Turkish mafia types to Denny Hastert, and counseled “deep state” interests in how to skirt U.S. campaign finance laws? After all, the Turks were reported to have made their initial payments from 1996-1998 through “unitemized (less than $200) contributions”, after which they allegedly delivered suitcases of cash to the Speaker’s front door. Someone had to teach them the intricacies of campaign finance law: was it IA? What we do know is that Perle was a key architect of the Israeli/Turkish alliance forged in the late 90s, and that Edmonds case also is connected to the AIPAC spy scandal- leaving lots of room for speculation on how the rest of the story pans out.As messy and ugly as this, for lack of a better phrase, “Turkish DeepState Gate” scandal appears, the consequences of continuing to do nothing about it- of allowing the government’s outrageous use of ‘state secrets’ to insure Dennis Hastert, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, Marc Grossman and others are never investigated, could be horrific. Ms. Edmonds plans to take petitions to the Senate Judiciary Committee in the coming months to finally force full and open hearings on her case. She will try to do the type of lobbying that does not involve foreign bribery or ill-gotten gains. This will be the simple type of petitioning guaranteed of every citizen in the Constitution under the First Amendment, a long forgotten portion of the Bill of Rights. Americans aware of the situation can only hope, and do everything in their power to insure, that Ms. Edmonds’ type of lobbying prevails.Mike Mejia is a freelance writer with a Master’s in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where he specialized in International Trade and Arms Proliferation. [cia-drugs] Israeli targets in U.S. on heightened alert
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=51204 Israeli targets in U.S. on heightened alertFear of attacks by Hezbollah sleeper agentsas military campaign in Lebanon continues Posted: July 24, 20069:19 a.m. Eastern By Aaron Klein© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com Hezbollah flagJERUSALEM Israel has raised the level of alert for its embassies and consulates worldwide, including in the U.S., for fear Hezbollah sleeper agents are seeking to attack Israeli targets oversees, WND has learned. Israeli security officials also recommended some Jewish institutions in the U.S. and abroad heighten their alert level as Israel's military campaign in Lebanon enters its third week following a Hezbollah raid in which two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped. The information comes after FBI officials told reporters last week they were searching for possible Hezbollah agents operating inside the U.S. amid concerns escalating tensions with Iran could trigger attacks on American soil. It also follows a WND exclusive interview last week in which Abu Nasser, second-in-command of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist group, warned it is only a "question of time" before Palestinian terror groups and other Islamic organizations in the Middle East target the U.S. both abroad and on the home front. According to Israeli security officials, Abu Nasser and the overall leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in northern Samaria, Ala Senakreh, coordinate their groups activities directly with Hezbollah. Sources in the Brigades admitted to WND they work in tandem with Hezbollah, which they say provides funding and training. "The Americans deserve to be targeted because of their support to the enemy. ... It is a question of time before the revolutionary organizations in the Middle East will start targeting the Americans," said Abu Nasser, speaking to WND from Nablus. The Al Aqsa Brigades, the declared "military wing" of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, is responsible for scores of rocket and shooting attacks, and together with Islamic Jihad for every suicide bombing since last February's so-called cease-fire. "One can say that these threats are just rhetoric, but the near past proved that these threats come more and more into reality," said Abu Nasser. "Believe me, it is a new era and I am suggesting to the American people to adopt a different policy and strategy because very soon they will deal with a unified Muslim world, but without the help of their agents in the Middle East." The Al Aqsa Brigades is not thought to possess the ability to attack inside the U.S., but there are concerns its ally, Hezbollah, has infiltrated and is seeking to attack. Hezbollah representatives in Iran warned last week the group stood ready to target U.S. and Israeli interests worldwide. American law enforcement officials said they are taking the Hezbollah threats seriously. "Because of the heightened difficulties surrounding U.S.-Iranian relations, the FBI has increased its focus on Hezbollah," said FBI spokesman Paul Bresson in Washington. "Those investigations relate particularly to the potential presence of Hezbollah members on U.S. soil." William Kowalski, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI in Detroit, asked, "If the situation escalates, will Hezbollah take the gloves off, so to speak, and attack here in the United States, which they've been reluctant to do until now?" Detroit is home to one of the largest Muslim communities in the United States. Hezbollah sympathizers have been caught fund-raising in the city. Two men pled guilty earlier this month to racketeering charges in which a smuggling ring based in Michigan is accused of funneling profits to Hezbollah. U.S. law enforcement agencies reportedly have indications Hezbollah agents are on U.S. soil and may be planning attacks. In May, the New York Post cited law-enforcement and intelligence officials stating Hezbollah may be planning to activate sleeper cells in New York and other big cities as the U.S. confrontation with Iran escalates. The sources told the Post about a dozen hard-core supporters of Hezbollah are operating in the New York area. They said the possible Hezbollah agents have been placed under heavy surveillance. Hezbollah never has launched a strike on U.S. soil, but prior to al-Qaida's Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, it was responsible for more American deaths than any other terrorist group. Hezbollah is accused of attacking the U.S. embassy in Lebanon, killing 63, and of a spate of kidnappings and murders of Americans in Lebanon. Hezbollah's deadliest attack against Americans was the 1983 bombing of Marine barracks in Beirut that killed 241 U.S. servicemen. Hezbollah also is suspected of striking Jewish targets abroad, including the truck bombing in 1992 of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires in which 29 people were killed, and a bombing two years later of an Isra

KRISTOF Published: July 25, 2006 The Israeli offensive and the American support for it seem to reflect the same misguided thinking that led to our Iraq war. The U.S. position on the fighting in the Middle East is essentially: Stop the killing. But not yet. Washington is resisting an immediate cease-fire so as to give Israeli forces more of a chance to destroy Hezbollah. But more time isnt likely to accomplish much militarily, while every day of grisly photos on Arab television strengthens hard-liners and Iranian and Shiite influence throughout the region. The Israeli offensive and the American support for it seem to reflect the same misguided thinking that led to our Iraq war. Its a utopian notion that every outrage must have a solution, and that armed intervention is a useful way to reshuffle the Arab political stage. Israelis are brimming with moral clarity, as we Americans were after 9/11. And theyre right: the Hezbollah attacks on Israel were particularly contemptible because they followed Israeli withdrawals from both Lebanon and Gaza. Israel should have been rewarded for those withdrawals, not subjected to rocket attacks and cross-border incursions. But one of the oldest lessons in international affairs is that not every problem has a neat solution. The first rule in foreign policy, as in medicine, should be Do no harm. Unfortunately, the legacy of todays Lebanese adventure, like the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon and our invasion of Iraq, may be plenty of strategic damage. "Our countries must keep their hands at the ready on the sword," Chavez, in ex-Soviet Belarus as part of a world tour, said on a visit to a military academy. "After a day of intensive work, we have created a strategic alliance between our countries," he said, speaking through an interpreter. "It is absolutely vital to protect our homeland, to guard against internal and external threats." "The jaws of imperialism and hegemonism have both us and Belarus in their grip." Chavez did not give details about what the alliance would involve. He is a bitter critic of the United States and proclaims socialist ideals to unite South America against Washington's influence. Lukashenko runs a Soviet-style command economy. Washington says he runs the last dictatorship in Europe. Belarus is subject to European Union and U.S. sanctions after Western observers accused him of rigging his own re-election in March. Like Chavez in Venezuela, Lukashenko has strong support with poor voters. "The number of countries in the world which resist the forces of dictatorship is growing," said Lukashenko, standing alongside him at the military academy. Chavez leaves Belarus on Tuesday for Russia where he is to sign a deal to buy Russian fighter jets and helicopters. His tour will also take in Qatar, Iran, Vietnam and Mali. The tour is in part to lobby for Venezuela's bid for a seat on the United Nations Security Council. __._,_.___ Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. [cia-drugs] Eurasia as the center of the conflict among great powers: Potential developments and Turkey
http://www.turkishdailynews.com.tr/article.php?enewsid=49764 Eurasia as the center of the conflict among great powers: Potential developments and Turkey Tuesday, July 25, 2006 The Eurasian geography, over which the great powers have been fiercely fighting since the beginning of the 1990s in the pursuit of their economic interests and in which they aim at exporting their own institutional systems and socio-cultural understandings, obviously bears vital importance for Turkey as well Ali KÜLEBİANKARA - Turkish Daily News Part 1. The Eurasian geography, over which the great powers have been fiercely fighting since the beginning of the 1990s in the pursuit of their economic interests and in which they aim at exporting their own institutional systems and socio-cultural understandings, obviously bears vital importance for Turkey as well. The fact that the U.S. has taken much interest in Eurasia, which bridges Europe to Asia, and has included it into the Greater Middle East Project, inspires some strategists to dwell on the Greater Eurasia Project. Located at the center of Eurasia, Turkey should at once benefit from its economic and strategic advantages granted by its unique geographical position and develop new policies concerning the region, which will certainly undergo significant socio-cultural changes in the coming years. Turkey needs to reassess its own geography in this way. Extremely open to external influences, the Eurasian region has been experiencing a sudden cultural shock common to all peoples that found themselves independent unexpectedly and unprepared consequent to the termination of long-lasting Soviet pressure. Yet, they have been suffering considerable hardship while trying to accord their institutional settings in tune with the new world order and democratic practices. These are the two prominent characteristics of the region. At this stage, it appears imperative to judge accurately this current situation, understand the past and present state of affairs in the region by taking into account both the history and recent restructuring of Eurasia and thus draw some useful conclusions. Retrospectively, first of all, the countries in the region, mainly due to the power asymmetry caused by their geopolitical situation, were no more than semi-colonies within a center-periphery relation during the bi-polar era. In this respect, almost all states in the Eurasian geography had to develop external relations based on one-sided dependence, primarily to the USSR. In other words, most of the so-called axis countries of the Cold War were, in varying degrees, related to and dependent at different levels on either the United States or the USSR, which in this context constituted the center. Once emancipated from this one-sided dependence in the post-Cold War era, these states had to come to terms with their disadvantage of power asymmetry. After years of dependence on another state, the Eurasian countries then found themselves in the position to survive on their own. Thus, multilateral alliances and regional co-operation projects have gained much importance. At this point, it is necessary to elaborate on the regional interests, goals and designs of the United States, which is generally seen as the only global factor, and those of other countries, which are inclined to share the United States' global power. Soft war fought by the imperialist states in the region: At a quick glance of the novel political trends, one would see that the Greater Middle East and North Africa Project of the United States unfolds to an American Eurasianism. Today, consequent to a shift in its rationale, the United States seems to ground its strategies in the notion of land power and thus aims to extend its support, through land forces, to the Anglo-Saxon naval civilization, which is in fact greatly under American control. This scheme of acquiring territorial dominance in Eurasia points to a new phase in American policy, reinforcing the United States' uniqueness as a superpower. After years of dependence on another country, the Eurasian states, in the post-Cold War era, have acknowledged the fact that they now have to take care of themselves. The regional cooperation initiatives and multi-dimensional alliances have gained significance for them. Nevertheless, due to their socio-cultural characteristics, these countries have at the same time gone through a change of consumer practices and a complete cultural shock. Taking notice of the newly-emerging demands in these countries, the Western powers have set their eyes on the region to make the most of the situation. Of course, what these Western powers possess as the instrument of influence is not delimited to their communication means. The influence created by military and economic institutions such as NATO is an important factor in this respect. It is plausible to note here that the eastwa

- Original Message - From: tim_howells_1000 To: political-research@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 6:30 AM Subject: [political-research] Nafeez Ahmed on War on Iran, Climate Catastrophe, etc. http://onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_1029.shtml As always, a brilliant and in depth analysis by Ahmed: UK government sources confirm war with Iran is onBy Nafeez Mosaddeq AhmedOnline Journal Contributing WriterJul 24, 2006, 01:05 Email this article Printer friendly page In the last few days, I learned from a credible and informed source that a former senior Labour government minister, who continues to be well-connected to British military and security officials, confirms that Britain and the United States " . . . will go to war with Iran before the end of the year." As we now know from similar reporting prior to the invasion of Iraq, it's quite possible that the war planning may indeed change repeatedly, and the war may again be postponed. In any case, it's worth noting that the information from a former Labour Minister corroborates expert analyses suggesting that Israel, with US and British support, is deliberately escalating the cycle of retaliation to legitimize the imminent targeting of Iran before year's end. Let us remind ourselves, for instance, of US Vice President Cheney's assertions recorded on MSNBC over a year ago. He described Iran as being "right at the top of the list" of "rogue states". He continued: "One of the concerns people have is that Israel might do it without being asked . . . Given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that their objective is the destruction of Israel, the Israelis might well decide to act first, and let the rest of the world worry about cleaning up the diplomatic mess afterwards." But the emphasis on Israel's preeminent role in a prospective assault on Iran is not accurate. Israel would rather play the role of a regional proxy force in a US-led campaign. "Despite the deteriorating security situation in Iraq, the Bush administration has not reconsidered its basic long-range policy goal in the Middle East . . ." reports Seymour Hersh. He quotes a former high-level US intelligence official as follows: "This is a war against terrorism, and Iraq is just one campaign. The Bush administration is looking at this as a huge war zone. Next, we're going to have the Iranian campaign. We've declared war and the bad guys, wherever they are, are the enemy. This is the last hurrahwe've got four years, and want to come out of this saying we won the war on terrorism." Are these just the fanatical pipedreams of the neoconservative faction currently occupying (literally) the White House? Unfortunately, no. The Iraq War was one such fanatical pipedream in the late 1990s, one that Bush administration officials were eagerly ruminating over when they were actively and directly involved in the Project for a New American Century. But that particular pipedream is now a terrible, gruelling reality for the Iraqi people. Despite the glaring failures of US efforts in that country, there appears to be a serious inability to recognize the futility of attempting the same in Iran. The Monterey Institute for International Studies already showed nearly two years ago in a detailed analysis that the likely consequences of a strike on Iran by the US, Israel, or both, would be a regional conflagration that could quickly turn nuclear, and spiral out of control. US and Israeli planners are no doubt aware of what could happen. Such a catastrophe would have irreversible ramifications for the global political economy. Energy security would be in tatters, precipitating the activation of long-standing contingency plans to invade and occupy all the major resource-rich areas of the Middle East and elsewhere (see my book, published by Clairview, Behind the War on Terror, for references and discussion). Such action could itself trigger responses from other major powers with fundamental interests in maintaining their own access to regional energy supplies, such as Russia and particularly China, which has huge interests in Iran. Simultaneously, the dollar-economy would be seriously undermined, most likely facing imminent collapse in the context of such crises. Which raises pertinent questions about why Britain, the US and Israel are contemplating such a scenario as a viable way of securing their interests. A glimpse of an answer lies in the fact that the post-9/11 military geostrategy of the "War on Terror" does not spring from a position of power, but rather from entirely the opposite. The global system has been crumbling under the weight of its own unsustainability for many years now, and we are fast approaching the convergence of multiple crises that are already interacting fatally as I write. The peak of world oil production, of which the Bush administration is well aware, either
[cia-drugs] Three 'oligarchs' bought $1bn of Rosneft shares
http://news.independent.co.uk/business/news/article1195316.ece Three 'oligarchs' bought $1bn of Rosneft shares By Andrew Osborn in Moscow Published: 25 July 2006 Two more leading Russian "oligarchs", Vladimir Lisin and Oleg Deripaska, have emerged as key investors in the controversial flotation of the oil giant Rosneft. Along with the Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich, the trio spent more than $1bn (£540m) in buying shares in the company. Their investment helped guarantee Rosneft's successful debut on the London Stock Exchange this month at a time when global stocks were volatile and appears to have bought them at least 10 per cent of all Rosneft shares available. In putting their money into Rosneft, Mr Abramovich (Russia's richest man), Mr Lisin (the third richest) and Mr Deripaska (the sixth wealthiest) offered the Kremlin a measure of support that is likely to stand them in good stead for years to come. Oligarchs such as Mssrs Abramovich and Deripaska do not usually dabble in portfolio investing, preferring to acquire controlling stakes in companies. But they were willing to make an exception with Rosneft because it was thought that its partial IPO - in London and in Moscow - was inextricably bound up with high Kremlin politics. According to the Russian daily newspaper Vedomosti, the three oligarchs used their fabulous wealth to counterbalance the scepticism and hostility that surrounded the Rosneft float. It was known that Mr Abramovich ploughed about $300m into Rosneft but it was not known that the steel kingpin Vladimir Lisin and the aluminium tycoon Oleg Deripaska also invested. Vedomosti said Mr Deripaska bought shares worth $500m-$1bn while Mr Lisin was reported to have invested $200m. A further $1bn of shares appears to have been acquired by entities linked to the oil company Surgutneftegaz and its billionaire general director, Vladimir Bogdanov. The state-controlled Rosneft came to market (14.8 per cent of it was sold for $10.4bn) amid a storm of criticism over the provenance of its biggest asset, the oil unit Yuganskneftegaz. "Yugansk" previously belonged to the jailed oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his oil firm Yukos but it was acquired by Rosneft on the cheap through a bizarre Kremlin-orchestrated forced sale at the end of 2004. Two more leading Russian "oligarchs", Vladimir Lisin and Oleg Deripaska, have emerged as key investors in the controversial flotation of the oil giant Rosneft. It is understood that >the parallel so-called 'Bretton Woods Settlement', involving funds due >to 37 countries, were also frozen at the same time. >The order for the funds to be frozen was issued by President George Bush >Jr. while he was en route to the G-8 Summit Meeting in St Petersburg, in >mid-July. >The Federal Reserve, which is a private organisation owned mainly by >foreigners, is believed to have instructed Bank of America, Richmond, >VA, where the funds are located and held in the name of Leo >Wanta/AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc., not to credit them to an existing account >for access by the Trustor and owner of the funds, Leo Wanta, and his >trading corporation. >The funds accumulated for The Wanta Plan, amounting to $4.5 >trillion, were assembled in May and June this year, pursuant to the >accord between Leo Wanta/AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc. and the US Treasury and >other key parties approved in principle in November 2005, and signed >in December. >The funds belong to the Trustor and his trading corporation and are >not the property of Bank of America, the Federal Reserve, the Treasury >or any other party. >The agreement was reached after the veteran Treasury/Secret Service >agent Leo Wanta surfaced last year, having been falsely pronounced by >the CIA to be dead. These are led by arrogant and >powerful intelligence 'barons', and their compromised intelligence, >banking and legal associates. >Such people now understandably fear that they are all going to be >exposed, arrested and indicted for their serial corruption crimes over >the years. >Under The Wanta Plan, approved in final detail this year by the >US Treasury and the White House itself, the US Treasury is to >receive $1.6 trillion of windfall tax payments, representing tax payable >at 35% on $4.5 trillion, and then at least $96 billion per banking day >following the delayed start-up of prearranged AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc. >trading operations. >A further, similar aggregate tax amount per banking day will be >payable to the US Treasury/Internal Revenue Service arising from >parallel transactions with other US parties, generating an estimated >aggregate $200 billion every banking day for the Treasury. >In addition, the State of Virginia is to receive an initial windfall tax >remittance totalling $270 billion, plus of course further payments >arising from the planned ongoing financial trading transactions. >Substantial continuing tax remittances will additionally be payable to >the state of Pennsylvania, as the Treasurer of AmeriTrust Group, Inc. is >resident in that state and will be associated with large ongoing >financial transactions there, ensuring windfall tax remittances to >Pennsylvania, as well. >IT IS ILLEGAL TO STOP A TAXPAYER PAYING TAX >Preventing a taxpayer from paying tax is a felony.
