[cia-drugs] Fletcher Prouty and Me
I was cleaning a closet today and came across an old picture. It shows my first cousin once removed, my mother's mother's brother's son, my mother's first cousin, Web Maxson, and his orchestra, which included Fletcher Prouty. It's a dance orchestra like Guy Lombardi and Glenn Miller. The typed label says,WEB MAXSON and his orchestra featuring Miss.MARTHA and FLETCHER PROUTY. My pick for Prouty would be the clarinet player. Something about his eyes, compared to prouty.org I emailed Len Osanic at prouty.org and asked him which instrument Prouty played. I can't even recognize my cousin but he must be the one holding the baton. His name is on the bass drum and his initials on four clamshell stands that must conceal music sheets. -Bob D Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. The Longer the War, the Larger the Lies - FRANK RICH; Progress or Regress? - PAUL KRUGMAN by FRANK RICH, PAUL KRUGMAN - THE NEW YORK TIMES Sunday Sep 17th, 2006 - Rich: Larger War Lies - The Bush administration is carpet-bombing America with still more fictions about Iraq(the complete article including all hyperlinks). - KRUGMAN - Middle Class - Why has technological and economic progress done so little for most Americans?; and more OP-ED COLUMNIST The Longer the War, the Larger the Lies By FRANK RICH Published: September 17, 2006 RARELY has a television network presented a more perfectly matched double feature. President Bush's 9/11 address on Monday night interrupted ABC's "Path to 9/11" so seamlessly that a single network disclaimer served them both: "For dramatic and narrative purposes, the movie contains fictionalized scenes, composite and representative characters and dialogue, as well as time compression." No kidding: "The Path to 9/11" was false from the opening scene, when it put Mohamed Atta both in the wrong airport (Boston instead of Portland, Me.) and on the wrong airline (American instead of USAirways). It took Mr. Bush but a few paragraphs to warm up to his first fictionalization for dramatic purposes: his renewed pledge that "we would not distinguish between the terrorists and those who harbor or support them." Only days earlier the White House sat idly by while our ally Pakistan surrendered to Islamic militants in its northwest frontier, signing a "truce" and releasing Al Qaeda prisoners. Not only will Pakistan continue to harbor terrorists, Osama bin Laden probably among them, but it will do so without a peep from Mr. Bush. You'd think that after having been caught concocting the scenario that took the nation to war in Iraq, the White House would mind the facts now. But this administration understands our culture all too well. [cia-drugs] Fw: [GATA] Is U.S. trying to drive Iran out of the dollar?
- Original Message - From: Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, September 17, 2006 2:08 AM Subject: [GATA] Is U.S. trying to drive Iran out of the dollar? Is U.S. trying to drive Iran out of the dollar? Submitted by cpowell on 03:13PM ET Saturday, September 16, 2006. Section: Daily Dispatches U.S. Asks Finance Chiefsto Limit Iran's Access to Banks By Steven R. WeismanThe New York TimesSunday, September 17, 2006 http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/17/world/middleeast/17paulson.html?_r=1o... SINGAPORE, Sept. 16 -- The United States pressed the top finance officials of the worldâs leading industrial nations on Saturday to crack down on what Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr. said was the exploitation of their banking systems by at least 30 Iranian front companies involved in illicit activities. Mr. Paulson said he told the finance and economic ministers that the front companies had been identified by American intelligence agencies as conducting international financial transactions using banks in Europe and elsewhere, many of them "blue chip banks." "Iran is a country that has broad, deep and commercial relationships with much of the world that have gone on for some time," Mr. Paulson told reporters. "This was nothing more than an educational briefing to prepare financial institutions for dealing with some of the risks that are out there." The Treasury chief's comments came after he met with his counterparts from Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Japan and the European Union, who had come for the annual gathering of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. They appeared to reflect the emerging Bush administration strategy on Iran as efforts to impose sanctions on Iran by the United Nations Security Council have faltered. The administration charges that Iran has a secret nuclear weapons program, a charge that Iran denies. Iran is also accused of transferring funds to Hezbollah and other Islamic militant organizations through regular commercial banks. What administration officials call a major escalation in the effort to squeeze Iran economically occurred last week when the Treasury Department announced that Bank Saderat, a major bank in Iran, would no longer have even indirect access to the United States financial system. The new decree means that Iran will have difficulty selling anything, including oil, for dollars through Bank Saderat, according to banking experts, because any commercial exchange that uses dollars normally obtains the dollars from an American bank. Many banking experts say the administration may name other banks as off-limits soon. After the announcement on Bank Saderat, two senior Treasury officials visited Europe to try to persuade regulators and banks to stop doing business with Bank Saderat and any other banks that are alleged to be involved in illicit activities such as funneling money to groups the United States considers terrorist. Some European banks have already curtailed their activities with Iran, but many leading banks have refused. Stuart Levey, under secretary of the Treasury for terrorism and financial intelligence, visited Britain, France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany, and the deputy treasury secretary, Robert Kimmitt, went to Germany. France, Italy and Germany have extensive commercial relations with Iran and its trading companies. The Treasury department has declined to name the banks they met with. Mr. Paulson said many leading trading companies in Iran with legitimate business operations were also involved in the illicit activities, and that it behooved any legitimate bank to realize that it was risky to continue doing even legitimate business with them. He called on banks around the world to be "vigilant" in opposing such risks and to avoid "inadvertently facilitating the kinds of activities that they wouldn't want to facilitate." Iran was only one of many subjects in Mr. Paulson's meetings with the finance ministers. Also on the agenda was a discussion of the world economy, which Mr. Paulson said had grown in recent years at rates that he and others had not seen in a generation. Despite that, he acknowledged risks arising from the failure of recent global trade talks, high energy prices and the problem of what are called "economic imbalances." That phrase is a euphemism for a broad set of problems, including the fact that the United States imports much more than it exports and has thus become the world's leading debtor, owing hundreds of billions of dollars to China, Japan and other trading partners. The United States says this problem can be remedied by the trading partners importing more from the United States and also by China allowing its currency to rise in value in relation to the dollar, thereby making exports to the United States more expensive. In a statement Saturday, the finance ministers of the leading

Now the federal government is warning people all over the United States that the medallions are "not legal tender" and that using them as money is a federal crime. Despite "their misleading appearance, NORFED 'Liberty Dollar' medallions are not genuine United States Mint coins," the U.S. Mint said in a press statement issued this week. The government's strong words drew a perplexed reaction Friday from the attorney for the two Derby men and a defiant reaction from a Hamburg man who is the executive director of the organization that produces the medallions. Speaking to the reporters at the Mehrabad International Airport upon arriving in Tehran from an OPEC conference in Vienna, Vaziri-Hamaneh said that all un-subsidized oil products can be offered in this stock market. He also rejected rumors about the preparation of a plan to gradually increase the gasoline price, but added that the cabinet had submitted a bill to the Majlis for importing gasoline. If the bill is ratified, the present condition will continue and rationing will be put into practice later. As for the decisions made during that OPEC conference, the minister said that the member countries were quite concerned for the downward trend of oil price, and so decided to maintain the present oil production ceiling. The Drug Policy Alliance's Ethan Nadelmann and I debated David Murray, special assistant to White House Drug Czar John Walters, on the medical marijuana issue in a theater in Washington, D.C. (Andrea Barthwell, former deputy director of the drug czar's office, chickened out at the last minute.)Ethan and I won. I'll send you a link to a video of the debate when it becomes available online. Also, last week at the National Press Club in D.C., MPP's congressional lobbyist confronted the drug czar about how his office had buried a government-sponsored report that's critical of his national advertising campaign. In his response, the drug czar made the outrageous claim that MPP staffers spend their time "in ... chat rooms encouraging people to use marijuana." He also issued this caution to the room full of prohibitionists and reporters while pointing to MPP's lobbyist: "Make sure you keep your kids away from them." You can read the exchange between MPP's Aaron Houston and Drug Czar John Walters here.To support MPP's aggressive campaign to confront the White House and its drug czar everywhere possible, please make a financial contribution today. According to MPP's records, you have not yet made a financial donation to MPP (or the tax-deductible MPP Foundation) in 2006, so I'm hoping you will donate $10 or more today. As I mentioned in an alert last week, a new report commissioned by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) found that the White House-sponsored National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign — which runs ridiculous ads featuring teenagers under the influence of marijuana committing violent crimes — not only fails to reduce teen marijuana use, but in some cases actually increases teen marijuana use! The drug czar — whose office runs those ads — is coming under heavy fire with the release of the report ... which was kept under wraps for a year-and-a-half until the Marijuana Policy Project pushed for its release.USA Today, The Washington Post, CNN, Fox News' Web site, Slate, a Scientific American podcast, and newspapers around the country have all covered this damning new evidence of the drug czar's failure. Read some of the coverage here. When MPP's Aaron Houston asked the drug czar to comment on the findings of the report and the fact that his office sat on it for so long, Walters dismissed the report as a "sideshow."But the drug czar's troubles keep coming: The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee recently recommended cutting salaries and expenses in his office from $26.6 million to $11.5 million — a reduction of more than half — "to more closely reflect actual performance." You can read about the Senate committee's recommendation here. Thanks in advance for anything you can donate to help us in our "War on Drug Czar." With your help, we hope to see a drastic reduction in the scope of his power and influence in the coming year.Sincerely,Rob Kampia Executive Director Marijuana Policy Project Washington, D.C.P.S. As I've mentioned in previous alerts, a major philanthropist has committed to match the first $3.5 million that MPP can raise from the rest of the planet in 2006. This means that your donation today will be doubled. P.P.S. If you've decided you don't want to donate anything today — and you're also sure you don't want to donate any money during the remainder of this year — you can opt out of receiving fundraising mentions in the e-mail alerts I send you by visiting http://www.mpp.org/2006optoutpreference at your convenience. In addition, Google may be providing assistance to the National Security Agency.IT contractors and intelligence officials familiar with the arrangement confirmed to HSToday.us that Google had been providing assistance to the intelligence community, but would not say under what authority that assistance had been requested or provided. The intelligence community appears to be interested in data mining Google’s vast store of information on each user who uses Google’s services. Google collects data on each user’s search queries, which web sites users visited after making a query, and through its Google Analytics service, can also track users on cooperating web sites. It’s not clear what level of access to or how much of this information has been made available to intelligence agencies. The contractor, who spoke on a not-for-attribution basis, said that at least one US intelligence agency he declined to identify is working to “leverage Google’s [user] data monitoring” capability as part of an effort by the IC to glean from this data information of “national security intelligence interest” in the war on terror. . . .One of the sources did say, however, that the CIA’s Office of Research and Development “has been giving them additional money and guidance and requirements.”Last November, the CIA - through In-Q-Tel [CIA venture capital company] - issued notices to sell $2.2 million worth of Google stock.Robert David Steele, intelligence veteran and CEO of OSS.Net, Inc. which sponsored last week’s event, told HSToday.us Tuesday evening that “Google is being actively hypocritical and deceptive in playing up its refusal to help the Department of Justice when all along it has been taking money and direction for elements of the US Intelligence Community, including the Office of Research and Development at the Central Intelligence Agency, In-Q-Tel, and in all probability, both the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Army’s Intelligence and Security Command.”Steele added, “I have no doubt that Google, in its arrogance, decided it could make a deal with the devil and not get caught.” — HSToday.usIf you are extremely concerned about the possibility that your private browsing information is going to wind up in the hands of U.S. intelligence agencies, you can throw a spanner in the works by blocking cookies from the following domains: google.com, googlesyndication.com, google-analytics.com, and your country-specific Google domain (e.g. google.co.uk). The FBI, CIA, NSA, DIA have a way of coming across pretty heavy handed, despite the law, and intimidate people who either resist or hint of not cooperating. So, it only stands to reason Google would cooperate. However, they could only find less than a dozen of people they call “terrorist” in this country out of the 375,000 names they collected, who mostly from overseas. So, by their own admission, it is pretty evident there was never a need for the Patriot Act, and all this silly spying on Americans using the internet. They have had 4 years and several billion dollars at their disposal to find terrorists. So far, they really don’t seem to know what they are looking for other than go through the motions of looking like they are doing something in the name of Homeland Security. [cia-drugs] Re: Iran's oil bourse to be launched
If this happens, then the dollar will no longer be the world's reserve currency. Right now you must pay for your oil in dollars no matter which country you are. If the iranian oil bourse succeeds, then about three quarters of a trillion dollars that is held by foreign countries to buy oil will no longer be needed. The first countries to get rid of their petrodollars will be the luckiest, because as the transactions continue, the dollar will become less and less valuable in terms of its exchange rate. the result will be that our buying power for commodities will drop precipitipusly. our economic engine has depended quite a bit on the petrodollar and the strength it gave our currency. When that ends, america will just be another international beggar nation with a terrible debt jones and a very sophisticated protection racket run by the occupying government. As indvidual citizens, those who do not have the luxury of dealing in other currencies or commodities are going to see their purchasing power diminish at a rate that will simply take their breath away. we will come to know what it was like in 1990 when the soviet union collapsed. imagine being on a fixed income when it takes your total monthly income to buy a weeks worth of food. --- In cia-drugs@yahoogroups.com, michael cook [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: 10-4! O'Donnell made her comments as host of ABC's "The View." "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state," O'Donnell said. She had been saying that America was attacked "not by a nation." She continued: "And as a result of the attack and the killing of 3,000 innocent people, we invaded two countries and killed innocent people." Even her liberal co-hosts were shocked by her comments. Co-host Joy Behar protested that Christians are not trying to impose mass murder on America. "This group (radical Muslims) is threatening to kill us." Replied O'Donnell: "No, but we are bombing innocent people in other countries. True or false?" O'Donnell was saying there is no difference between the radical Muslims who kill in the name of Allah and Bible-believing Christians who follow the teachings of Jesus. Neither O'Donnell nor ABC apologized for the comments. Had she made similar comments about minorities or homosexuals, there would have been an apology, and she would have probably been fired. The message from ABC is that bashing Christians is acceptable, even comparing them with murderers who kill in the name of Allah. Re: [cia-drugs] Re: Iran's oil bourse to be launched
VMANN: with a HUGEass influx of cash with which to repudiate their debt. VMANN: yep, the american taxpayer, lender of last resort. our labor is being confiscated to pay for the world's debt. even with the repudiation of debt due to hyperinflation, the common working man will see his standard of living collapse. vigilius haufniensis Complete archives at http://www.sitbot.net/ Please let us stay on topic and be civil. [cia-drugs] Fwd: [IPCUSA] Myth Busters - US TV propaganda attack on implant and mind control victims

Groups Terms of Use | Unsubscribe __,_._,___ ---BeginMessage--- Hello IPCUSA, I just watched a propaganda spiel on Myth Busters on tv against the notion there are implant or mind control victims in the US. Myth Busters in general are weak on science, and fairly strong on lab work. This production was noticably different than their usual work, and very weak and limited on lab and field work, and with nothing remotely scientific in the rpesentation. The hatchet job was relatively quick and cheaply produced, a poor quality shoprt rpesentation obviously biased from start to finish, versus looking for the truth or making any effort to find evidence claims of US mind control or unconsensual implantations might sometimes or often be true. In typical large state propaganda, serious issues are avoided, and things which the state sees as weaknesses of the group being attacked are focused upon. For example, the nazis fixated on the semitic nose structure in their attacks on jews (and Cheech and Chong used the exact same nazi parody of a semitic nose in their movie which presented a low ethnic attack on Arabs, one Arab having had a camel wife before etc...). This Myth Busters presentation was true to form in this sense for attacking minority groups with state sponsored or directed propaganda machines. As alledged victims of high technology human rights abuses in the US, we are in fact an opressed minority. This was the first major television propaganda attack upon us I am aware of, there have been some talk show and serial attacks already, but nothing like this I know of until now on US network television. I think this is even like an admission by US government criminals, that as a movement, we are starting to get into the big leagues politically in the US (and we are in the big league already in the former USSR). Many fragments were pulled from various internet sources, and presented as being representative. All the common points the public (already well brain washed by the mass media from 1930's nazi radio to present), would see as indicating the victims movement is not credible. Whoever was behind this, has paid someone to do a lot of reading on the internet, to produce so many diverse claims which could be presented as not credible, and rolling them into one ball and painting us all with this ball of distortions and lies with one brush stroke. One of the regulars on Myth Busters said his source was some male he found on the internet, the impression was given this single source was the source for the data of the program about the victims movement on the internet. There were victims movements before there was anything on the internet. The Moscow Zombies, even a few small groups in the US, and the large victims movement of the army radiation experiments. e US army radiation xperiments are now admitted to by the US government. Previous to this confession the army radiation experiment victims were given the same treatment we are given now, shared delusional complexes etc... I do not believe any one internet source makes all the claims they gave in this Myth Busters production. In science one is supposed to reference ones sources, not just state UCLA library or the internet. Exactly because there can be intentional or accidental distortion, misrepresentation etc... In this spiel they stated something like it must be true because it was on the internet, meaning it must not be true because it was on the internet. There is plenty of false information on the net, just as there is on tv. Much of the true information on the internet, is data and evidence the American people still are not allowed to see on American television. The Russian Federation has now confessed to massive high technology human rights abuses under the Soviets, and passed laws against such abuses. Instead of getting the same consideration as our fellow victims from the USSR have been given, we are still supressed and now further vuictimised by televised propaganda campaigns presenting us all as being
[cia-drugs] Re: Fletcher Prouty and Me
Len Osanic told me that Prouty was a singer. That is a posed publicity shot, with nobody playing drums and Prouty holding a trombone. Once len told me Prouty was a singer, I was looking for guys with different coats. The trombone player does not have a different coat like the baton holder, the string bass player, or the clarinet player who has a black instead of white vest. Len Osanic will be providing his two cents or confirmation soon. This photo does two things for me. One, it reminds me of what I have been calling German window flowerbox syndrome, the way people had their outward front and yet inwardly one might associate with Prouty and the other desperately search for men like Prouty yet see the other playing golf with scum on a longterm basis, never suspecting he would have a friend like Prouty. And second, it reminds me that we can find each other by the internet, but in those days there was no equivalent. Ham radio was prevented from becoming an analog version of the internet. Whichever way you turned you'd run into Mighty Wurlitzer cult propagandists, Quig's judas goats. -Bob D --- In cia-drugs@yahoogroups.com, mark urban [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: prouty is the one standing to the woman's left (her right as you're looking at the picture) he's playing that slide trombone.--- In cia- [EMAIL PROTECTED], muckblit muckblit@ wrote: Two views: http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/cia-drugs/photos/view/108f? b=1m=so=0 --- In cia-drugs@yahoogroups.com, muckblit muckblit@ wrote: I was cleaning a closet today and came across an old picture.
