Re: [Cin] Render farm
Hi Using render farm on a daily basis here. Client machines : $ cin -d 1200 It will not run as # Cheers Ed On Tue, 2021-03-16 at 20:37 +0100, Andrea paz via Cin wrote: > Yes, nerver used port 400. > Tried with ports 10445 to 10460 with the same result. Re: [Cin] HW in render farm
Alrighty.. suggesting then that render farms slaves are running their own local settings / config I'll install all HW accelerators on salves and see what happens. They have different cpu / motherboards /GPU Cheers E On Sat, 2020-06-27 at 14:38 +0200, Andrea paz wrote: > Using nvenc without render farm is OK; using render farm without nvenc is OK.-- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
[Cin] HW in render farm
Hi all I am using several headless machines (cin -d 1200) as a render farm. Question : If the master node is using an accelaration (HW) do the slave nodes automatically use the said acceleration ? if no but is a matter of local configuration for a slave where can I set it up ? Now, to make it more complex : if the master is running on vdpau (or CUDA) can a slave run on vaapi ? Thanks in advance Ed-- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
Re: [Cin] Linux GUI on Windows
Being the devil advocate here : what would the point of getting linux emulation let alone Cinelerra to operate under windows? For say how about Cinelerra farm rendering under Windows ? This one is saving me a lot of time with cheap headless machines running on goldfish memory and NFS shared Raid 0s.Much welcome feature when time comes to complex operations. Considering also that more and more material will come in 4K and 10 bits at least Just wondering, not a Windows / Linux Troll .. although ...looks like it :-S > > Windows10 will get a WSL2 which support Linux GUI applications. > > Maybe > > this allows Cinelerra-GG to run under Windows. > > > > MatN-- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
Re: [Cin] Checked in tweaked patches from Andrew - EXR, PNG, and TIFF
I get that when I have 16 bits frames displayed in 14 bits E On Wed, 2020-03-18 at 01:44 +0300, Andrew Randrianasulu wrote: > It doesn't show difference in ffporbe, perhaps ..but colors are ..interesting > > https://imgur.com/a/K8N2bMq-- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin

I will test that very shortly On Wed, 2020-03-18 at 00:47 +0300, Andrew Randrianasulu wrote: > > > >TIFF - new choices of LZW, LZWMA, Deflate > > We have done minimal testing and probably Andrew will test to make > > sure we > > got all of his patches correct!-- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
Re: [Cin] Curiosity on OpenSUSE
HiIt happens with opensuse leap as well and has for a long time. A bit oddCheers E Sent from Yahoo7 Mail on Android On Fri., 15 Nov. 2019 at 21:03, Andrea paz wrote: In the new PC I have problems to install Arch Linux so, temporarily, I'm trying OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. In the laptop I still have Arch. To compile CinGG I first installed the dependencies via "bld_prepare.sh". It has been downloaded Texlive (more than 1 GB of data!) along with the normal dependencies. Is this normal? In Arch is not required Texlive that in fact I have installed separately. Re: [Cin] Subtitles
Thanks guys for your time and explanation.Video is great and to the point.Igor, if I may, screencasts are far from being stupid, with something as complex as cinelerra it is almost impossble to do without them CheersEd On Thu, 2019-06-20 at 13:27 +0200, Igor BEGHETTO wrote: > Thanks Andrea_paz! > It is yours. > > IgorBeg > > > Il 20/06/2019 8.28, Andrea paz ha scritto: > > @IgorBeg. > > The subtitles demo is perfect for the forum (you also put the > > step-by-step explanations), so I ask for your usual consent to > > upload > > it.-- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
[Cin] Subtitles
Hi Igor Yes; many thanks for the reference, been there Couple of points though : - I understand it works for DVD (as in not bluray yet). What about other formats ? like 24 fps films in 2 or 4 K for say ? - can one import a srt file ? or at least a srt converted with libass ? Many thanksEd Hi Edouard. Have you read the CinelerraGG_manual.pdf? In Chapter 13.4.3_Subtitles you can find the steps. The manual is in cinelerra-gg site -> Support --> Documentation http://www.cinelerra-gg.org/downloads/#documentation Note: 1) Consider that you can not see the texts in the Compositor if you use subtitles. 2) you can only save the subtitles in a file that you can use with others software (more or less) IgorBeg -- Cin mailing list Cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org https://lists.cinelerra-gg.org/mailman/listinfo/cin
