Re: [c-nsp] help cisco product

2011-01-25 Thread Jens Neu
In order to use the IF /0 and /1 as 1000BaseT on a 5510, you need the
Security Plus License as well as a ASA Release of minimum 7.2(3) iirc.
See here:

Hi

I am new in cisco product

I brought new ASA551 from reseller in Asia but not my country
Now we discover that the product is not same as we saw in the reseller
website
In the web, the product includes 2FE and 3 x 100M but now it is all 100M

The reseller claims the version and the serial no. should includes 2GigE
but we can get ios to sh int as Ethernet (100M) NOT any GE
Try to configure int and it only shows 10M / 100M and auto selection too

The box is also showing S EC-BUN-K9.

1/ How can we get cisco to help?
2/ I register to cisco website. I am in guess account. Can I get support?
3/ ls cisco shipping the wrong box?
4/ ls reseller correct? Serial no. can prove the product. How can we
check with cisco?

Thank you for your help

Hi Jens,
The time window in the summary lines includes all flows in the flow file

However, it does not explain, why you see flows ending in the future.
I'll fix the time window issue.

[c-nsp] PXE not working on Cat2948

2010-01-08 Thread Jens Neu
Der all,

I have a Catalyst 2948G which seems to keep PXE boot from working
properly. This one Cat2948 is the only Layer 2 device between the DHCP/PXE
boot server and the PXE client - both are directly connected and share a
/24. PXE boot is not working at all, and DHCP is unbearably slow, for no
apparent reason. Both PXE Server and Client(s) are various IBM xSeries
using the onboard GBit interfaces.
Now the fun stuff: when I put a second Layer 2 device between the Cat 2948
and the PXE client, it is magically working.
Means: PXE Server - Cat 2948 - some cheap Netgear Office switch - PXE
Client == works. In fact, any additional Layer 2 device that appears
between PXE Client and the Cat 2948 scares the problem away.

Anyone seen this before? Any hints where to start looking? The switch
looks as follows:

[c-nsp] ACLs and 2948G-L3

2010-01-07 Thread Jens Neu
Dear all,

I've come across a lot of people complaining about the 2948G-L3 and
access-lists. I defined two extended access-lists which are bound to
FastEthernet35 (in and out). The switch complains nowhere, but when the
ACLs should trigger, this appears in the log:

Jan 6 16:03:57 172.16.15.250 13651: Jan 6 15:03:56.983 UTC: ACL card not
present for interface FastEthernet35
Jan 6 16:04:05 172.16.15.250 13652: Jan 6 15:04:04.296 UTC: ACL card not
present for interface FastEthernet35

I'm running SW 12.0(25)W5(27d) on the device, while
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cat2948g-l3 tells me this is
the most recent one. Can anyone enlighten me what this ACL card is
about? Is there a way to use ACLs on the device at all?

thanks and best regards!
