Too bad, because Perimeta is terrible.

 requires A2Q.

HCS-CC requires an underlying infrastructure that is pretty extensive and
requires A2Q.

You have to have a SIP Cloud/MPLS, 4 UCS B-series Chassis, 2 DataCenters,
SAN, Perimeta, etc.

There is a lot of work that goes into just building the infrastructure.

Once that is done, you have to install the mgmt apps (CCDM, CUCDM, HCMF,
VIM, etc)

After those are installed and configured, you have to setup your first
customer.

That customer instance is going to be setup in a similar fashion to PCCE,
but w/ some slight variation defined in the install/setup guide.
- Note that these guides are terrible if you haven't spun up PCCE UCCE
before. Confusion is imminent.

Hope this helps.

After my inital learning , found that CCDM , CUCDM are new addition to

Hence intrested to get more idea regd this new changes, as iam going to
perform this setup for one of our client.

Any inputs or learnings for your exp would be highly appreciated.

Re: [cisco-voip] CUCM 10.5 and OpenText 10.6

2015-05-01 Thread Countryman, Edward
This turned out to be a setting in Rightfax. Now working again!

Many thanks to Troy Putnam for emailing me the fix outlined below:

In RightFax:
Log into the Brooktrout Configuration tool
-- IP Call Control Modules
-- SIP
-- T.38 Parameters, and change the Media Renegotiate Delay Outbound, msec:
from -1 top 500.

There are no timers in the SIP trunk, but the SIP Profile has several.

Please let us know which timer you find that resolves this? I have a customer
that will be going to 10.5 soon and are using RightFax.

Also, RightFax has some good documentation and support, they may have this
already covered.

We had the same thing with our Accuroute Fax server. We called TAC and

as we called in the TAC person had us fixed up in minutes.

I don’t know the exact thing that had to be changed; the guy that did
the work is out this week.

If you have 79XX phones, update the COP file for your phones,
transfers while on a call with a head set are broken. Calls will just
 drop with a transfer……

We have had right fax 10.5 up and running with a SIP trunk from our
 CUCM
8.6.2 environment for a while now.

This past weekend we updated to CUCM 10.5.2 and are no longer able to
 fax out from RF.

From the trace, the SIP call appears to fail with the following error
 after the INVITE

 488 Not Acceptable Here

Do would anything have changed in 10.5 to possibly be causing this? Weird
thing is the inbound faxes are working fine.

Re: [cisco-voip] dx80 and MRA

2015-05-01 Thread Justin Steinberg
i noticed that Expressway X8.5.2 was just released and was surprised when
the DX/7800/8800 was still listed as Preview support.

I suspect the Preview is due to the items below:
1) Primary line support only (multiple lines won't work on MRA)
2) Hunt group/pilot/list aren't supported
3) Shared line limitations (status of calls on other appearances of the
shared line aren't reliable)

I hope those items are on the roadmap to be resolved before full MRA
support for these devices. The Primary line feature for sure, since
this will be a big issue in call centers.

EFT is ongoing but it’s not an open one like Jabber does.

Last target I heard was end of May.

You’ll see the 78/88XX release much sooner than that but with caveats.
The release notes for 10.3.1 will have more details when they post.

Can we have an update from someone in the know?

Is there a beta/trial program available for the code? If so, we could
probably assist in testing if needed and also I work for a partner, if
that helps. Contact me off list for details.
