[cisco-voip] CUCM Jakarta Dial-plan

2015-11-04 Thread Mike Lydick
Does someone have a CUCM base Dial-Plan for Jakarta? Looking for best
practice or consolidated routes before I start working from the
online/published area codes for Indonesia.

Thanks!

[cisco-voip] Multiple Version of CUCM integrated with CER

2015-10-21 Thread Mike Lydick
We are doing a parallel migration of several CUCM clusters. The current
production CUCM cluster is 8.5 and is integrated with CER 10.5. We need to
support the user migration to 2 new CUCM 10.5 clusters. So the requirement
would be for CER 10.5. to support (1) CUCM 8.5 and (2) CUCM 10.5 clusters.

We see only one CUCM Version selection option in CER. Does CER support
Multiple CUCM versions simultaneously?

Thanks!

[cisco-voip] CUCM 10.5 and MS AD LDS

2015-07-24 Thread Mike Lydick
We are trying to integrate CUCM 10.5 with AD LDS on Windows 2012 Member
Server. The source AD is Windows 2008. We are able to get the users
accounts to sync with ADAM sync to the LDS server but the CUCM does not
import the accounts. We have tried using the Attribute for User ID (CUCM
LDAP configuration) as UPN or Mail ID with no success.

The CUCM DirSync traces show errors indicating missing element:

2015-07-22 18:14:11,363 ERROR [DirSync-DBInterface] common.DSDBInterface
(DSDBInterface.java:530) - DSDBInterface.updateUserInfo LDAP data
discarded: Missing LDAP attribute: Attribute Count=2
AgreementId=aafebf6f-8f39-5590-4959-b2eb5df5f146

There seems to be only account in the logs that its querying. We have over
300 so I do not think CUCM is getting a response that the expected accounts
were queried.

To get the LDS to sync the accounts we had to add the following user
attributes to the LDS schema:

- ms-DS-UserAccountAutoLocked
- msDS-UserAccountDisabled
- msDS-UserDontExpirePassword
- ms-DS-UserEncryptedTextPassword
- msDS-UserPasswordExpired
- ms-DS-UserPasswordNotRequired

We added a test Local LDS account and this did import. We exported the user
attributes from one AD -- LDS sync'd account and the LDS local account.
The only relevant difference was the msDS-UserAccountDisabled shows unset
for the the AD -- LDS sync'd account. The local account we set this to
False to enable the account.

Would like to know if there is anyone that has this working and can provide
some feedback on how you got it working.

Thanks!

[cisco-voip] CUC 10.5.2 Publisher Rebuild

2015-06-26 Thread Mike Lydick
Does anyone have any recent experience with using utils cuc cluster
renegotiate as a method for restoring a CUC Publishers Database. We are
preparing to rebuild a failed Pub and came across several articles using
this command instead of DRS. Looking for any feedback if this method would
work better/worse than doing a cobras restore or DRS. Any caveats?

Re: [cisco-voip] Unity Connection

2015-06-09 Thread Mike Lydick
You will have to install the Informix OBDC drivers and enable Unity for
Remote administration but it works if you do not want to mess with changing
java versions. The greeting prompt editor is really nice, allows for
editing the prompt.

 Good luck :o

I have an old windows XP VM with and old java (1.6U23) and firefox (17)
combination specifically for the task of old unity connection servers. I
haven’t touched a 2.x version in a long time so I can’t say if these
versions will work, but I’ve had good luck with it.

Also, Apple seem to be more flexibile with java compatibility if you have
one handy try from a MacBook.

I need to upload a IVR wav file to Unity Connection, my problem is old
Unity Connection software (2.1) and it's reliance on older java. Can I
upload the wav file via CLI ? tftp?

 thanks in advance,

 Mike

Re: [cisco-voip] CER 10.0(2) and 3850 Support

2014-11-12 Thread Mike Lydick
We switched over to using IP Subnets to locate the IP phones. That only
works if your zones align with the phone subnets.

I am getting nothing. I am able to get snmp from other parts of the snmp
tree. I started doing the snmp walks and gets because CER was saying these
 switches are unsupported.

Anyone got 3850 switches to work with CER?
