Re: [cisco-voip] UCCX 11.6 HA LAN to WAN

2019-08-30 Thread Paul Bottone
Michael,

We are very large University and we wanted geographical separation of our data
centres.
We have moved our UCCX HA servers to two different data centres with VM ware
and UCCS, 22 km (13.7 miles) away over two fibre lines.
We route the VLAN and have no issues as both see each other as a LAN systems.
HA still works perfectly and it was less work than rebuilding everything.

Re: [cisco-voip] [cisco-VoIP] Cisco 8851 shared line question

2019-01-10 Thread Paul Bottone
James,

We have are on sip88xx.12.1.1.12 and do not have that problem
I have downloaded 12.1.5.16 but not used it on anything

I looked back to when I was having the problem and in my notes (with TAC) it
stated that we performed three things

  1. We upgraded the firmware to the version stated above
  2. Created a new soft-key template for our phones not using the standard
soft-key template
  3. Changed the phones to use Enhanced mode.

This gave us other challenges as some people liked having the boxes on the
right side of the screen.

Most didn't notice the change.

Hope this helps

Paul

Hey James.
Believe it or not I actually had to downgrade to 11.7 to get it functioning

I'll need to look at my notes at what version I eventually went to to get it

Jason,

We have been using this https://sourceforge.net/projects/ipccwallboard/
wallboard from UCCX 5 to UCCX11.6 has work flawlessly throughout each
upgrade.
It runs on a PC connected to a large screen TV in our call centre. We
don't have a server to collect data as it is used for real time only.

UnifiedFX wall board does more if you need more but what we have found
is that this one give us everything you want and is fully customizable.

We have also given it to other department to uses as well and because of
it's customization we are able to show only that departments stats and
not everyones

[cisco-voip] cucm9 insert Local enduser via bat AD sync

2016-02-19 Thread Paul Bottone
Have you tried to add generic accounts to AD then use the CUCM Sync to
suck them into CUCM.

This is how we are able to add external accounts to our system without
changing our Techs process.

This also becomes really important when moving to CUCM 10 and above.
Using the generic account makes the external partner responsible for the
device.
We can also offer other services as well to that external partner
without changing any of our internal processes.

[cisco-voip] LDAP custom filter for ipPhone field

2015-10-23 Thread Paul Bottone

John,

We have used the LDAP filter to weed out a number of different fields
and extension information

This is what we used
(|(Role=FAC)(Role=STF)(uid=vml*)(uid=ccx*)(uid=ipt*)(uid=swbd*))

We have also used
.*(\d{5}) This is for the last 5 digits so we could add the proper
extension.

This has helped us weed through 180,000 records and only get the
information we wanted

Hope this helps
