Hi Justin,

I just confirmed, there is no CAD update with the Mixed Mode COP file. The
Release Notes will be modified accordingly to remove the typo and list the CAD
version as .95, the same as that of 10.6(1) base.

Hi Justin,

Allow me till Wednesday, I will have some confirmation on the exact dates
although I can confirm that it right around the corner. BTW, I can help you get
the cop file for your customer immediately because it is being given out on a
per-customer basis – so the support can be given for your customer now if
needed and you don’t have to wait for the announcement of the support.

Abhiram,

Is there any update on the COP file for official support for Finesse and CAD on
the same CCX cluster? The design guide still says not supported for running
both CAD Finesse.

*Thanks for your question. The support for co-residence of CAD and Finesse

being given out to a few customers whose migration plan is reviewed by
internal teams and a COP file is provided for that customer only. This is
to ensure that any feedback is incorporated before the official support is
announced. The supported will be announced soon and the COP file which

This is excellent thanks for the news - this will make migration much
easier for us.

I've worked a little with using the standalone CUIC to create custom
reports in UCCX Integrated CUIC about 8 months ago but my migration project
got pushed to the backburner. We ordered a Lab-use only CUIC license for
this. My notes are here if any interest or comment, was working with 9.x at

Mike, this has been discussed previously, where is this documented? Per the
10.6 documentation, it is not supported for concurrent use.

2015-01-19 Thread Abhiram Kramadhati (akramadh)
Hi all,

The support for mixed-mode is expected to be announced in the coming ways. It
will be starting with 10.6 and the support can be claimed by installing a COP
file. The details will come out soon, but in summary it will be in 10.6. Also,
there will be a white-paper released regarding the migration plan and best
practices. Some of the things that come to my mind straight away are:

  * Voice is supported on mixed mode – you can have some teams on either CAD
or Finesse handling calls
  * Chat and email agents have to be migrated completely onto Finesse
  * CAD supervisors only to monitor CAD teams and so on for Finesse
  *   1 team = 1 type of agent desktop

There are some limitations too and they will be in the document which will be
published. However, if you can think about any scenario you would like to
discuss and get some feedback – please feel free to reach out to me. Or you can
put it out here in the forum, Ryan or myself can brainstorm with you.

Both can be activated but it is a requirement that a team be on CAD or Finesse.
Essentially giving a 'Team' based migration approach from CAD to Finesse.

No CUIC is included and is just the replacement for HRC.
The included version is essentially the same as HRC but web based. There is a
premium option with more features available. That is, as expected, at a cost.

2015-01-19 Thread Ryan LaFountain (rlafount)
Hi,

Just to be clear, the CUIC that comes with UCCX is the standard CUIC license.
You can’t upgrade the co-resident version of CUIC.

You can buy premium CUIC (or use the NFR kit) and install CUIC standalone on a
separate box in order to create custom report definitions (something you can’t
do with standard CUIC) and then export those definitions and install them on
the co-resident CUIC on UCCX.

HTH.

Hi Lelio,

The supported method is to integrate your standalone CUIC premium with the UCCX
datasource for the purposes of building your report definitions. Then, you must
export / import into UCCX and run them by logging in to the coresident UCCX
instance.

HTH.

No CUIC is included and is just the replacement for HRC.
The included version is essentially the same as HRC but web based. There is a
premium option with more features available. That is, as expected, at a cost.

Both can be activated but it is a requirement that a team be on CAD or Finesse.
Essentially giving a 'Team' based migration approach from CAD to Finesse.

I would really be interested on how the migration is planned. While finesse
is great, a lot of CAD customers are using integrations using keystroke
macros or the local TCP socket option.
I hope Cisco is cooking up something to get at least some of this
functionality on Finesse out of the box.

cheers
