*BI Solutions Architect*

*Duration : 12+ months*

*Responsibilities:*
• Build data profiling jobs in IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer
• Develop data quality dashboards using results of data profiling jobs
• Experience integrating Information Analyzer with Metadata Workbench
• Define and implement the enterprise business intelligence portfolio
• Design and develop Dashboards / Adhoc reports / Standard reports as per
the business requirements
• Identify appropriate Data Sources using Data Profiling and Data Discovery
• Take charge and deliver complex reporting projects and initiatives

Role Summary: Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT
management and staff at the highest technical level through all phases of
application programming and processes. Works closely with client and IT
management and staff to identify: application development solutions, new
applications or modifications to existing programs, capability to reuse
existing code, integration of purchased solutions or a combination thereof
and the appropriate software development methodology alternative. May be
asked to document, test, implement and provide on-going support for the
applications. Responsible for facilitating business requirements gathering
and translating into system requirements. Review Business Requirements and
work with and guide business partners to complete business requirement
documentation. Clearly define systems work scope and objectives based on
Business Requirements. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and
recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming
solution.

*Technical Skills*
• Deep understanding and experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer
• Strong experience developing Business Dashboards and Visually sound
reports
• Proven ability to extract/source data from multiple data sources and
integrate them into a single source view/report/dataset
• Demonstrate acumen in Data Profiling and Data Discovery
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices
• Experience with reviewing business requirements, system functional
requirements, and developing systems specifications.
• Working knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
(DSL).
• Knowledge of / experience with QA processes and testing requirements.
• Some knowledge of midrange and mainframe systems, relational database
concepts and functionality.
• Excellent abstract, analytical, problem solving and critical thinking
skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity.
• Flexible, ability to adapt to change quickly and lead others through the
change management process.

*Data Analysis is a PLUS but not Mandatory*
• Ability to analyze performance and operational data to arrive at
actionable results
• Practical experience with requirements analysis, design, development,
testing, and deployment of BI Solutions (End-to-End), over multiple
technologies, size and scale of projects
• Experience with analyzing complex data correlations with the ability to
define and explore the ‘what if’ scenarios;
• Strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate information gathered
from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level
information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a
more general understanding

*Customer Focus/Partnerships*
• Proven track record of effectively collaborating and influencing users
and key stakeholders to understand core business needs that drive BI
requirements, outline project timelines and processes to deliver quality
solutions, and drive user behaviors that lead to adoption of BI solutions
to improve operations and/or outcomes
• Ability to work with management and business teams to understand their
strategy, goals and objectives with specific experience in coordinating and
leading requirement gathering sessions, and executing and fulfilling
business requirements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - written and oral
• Experience engaging and influencing senior business executives and senior
IT executives
• Hospitality Domain experience a PLUS

*EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS*
• At least eight (8) years of Business Intelligence Management or related
BI service delivery experience
• Sound understanding of Business Intelligence related Data Profiling,
Reporting Tools, Visualization, Analytics, Dashboards, and Predictive
Analysis through tools and technologies Demonstrated business acumen and
the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems
• Experience in delivering self-service BI solutions that promote data
discovery
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

• Business Glossary
• Information Analyzer
• Experience working with Information Analyzer, Metadata Workbench,
Business Glossary & Governance Catalog.
• Knowledge of Unix shell scripting is a plus
• Working knowledge of XML, Web Services, WSDL, JAX-RPC, SOAP
• Working knowledge of Unix and shell scripting
