*Job Description:-*
*Responsibilities :-*
- Adhering to SLAs
- Reporting to the Track Lead
- Mentoring / Training Team Members
- Assign tasks to the team members
- Monitor team members and their SLAs
- Configuration Management
- Handling tickets / requests
- Perform root cause analysis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation,
configuration and migration
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure
scenario
- Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggests new technologies and design changes
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
- Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
- Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
- Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
- Provide day to day global operational activities for Storage and
Backup/Recovery teams including administering,
- Enterprise Backup/Restore
- Archival and Retrieval
- Perform all chargeback estimation, provisioning, and documentation
tasks in
a timely manner
- Produce regular reports for management, to assist in cost recovery,
capacity
planning and consolidation
- Assist in Data centre consolidation efforts
- Perform H/W & performance monitoring and maintenance
*Technical Requirements*
- Working knowledge of Enterprise-class Fiber Switch/Director Hardware
from
Cisco, Brocade, or McData required (Zoning / VSAN / ISL setup )
- Hands-on Experience with TSM or Legato Networker
Familiarity with :
IP Network WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration
Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as
- using virtual tape
- disk to disk to tape
- data replication
- File System and Database Familiarity
*Essential*
- Windows and/ or UNIX administration,
- Zoning and diagnostic skills.
- TSM on AIX
*Other Skills / Experience*
- Worked on Production systems
- Datacenter understanding
- Experience with Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching
- Storage Management Techniques

*Years of Experience*
Total : 5-6 Years of experience
Relevant : Minimum of 3 yrs in TSM Storage Administration / Support
Minimum 1 year working knowledge on Veritas NetBackup Administration
Minimum 2 years experience on Unix and/or Windows systems administration
*Certification requirements*
Backup Certification (Netbackup/TSM) / ITIL
