We are currently working on filling an exciting new *CONTRACT* opportunity for an *Senior Core Java Developer with AWS and Multithreading *position that will be based out in *Boston, MA*. *Job Title: Senior Core Java Developer with AWS and Multithreading* *Location: Boston, MA* *Duration: 6+ Months* *NEED 2 PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES* *MUST HAVE 8 YRS EXP.* *MUST HAVE AWS & MULTITHREADING EXP.* - This person will be working at 100 Federal - Candidates will be asked to take an IKM test which is still being created *Keys to the position:* - 8+ years of core Java Development experience. - Experience working with Spring is a must - Spring Boot is a + - Experience working with AWS – in particular with Cloud Formation is a big +. AWS administration is a big plus as they will be expected to learn how to handle this work since we are working in a dev ops model. - Experience with a NoSQL database experience is a big + – Preference is for the candidate to have experience with elasticsearch since that is what we are currently using. - This person needs to be resourceful and demonstrate ownership and initiative. - Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Financial Services experience is a + - Mobile development experience is a nice to have *Requirements* - 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer supporting large application development life cycles - Strong understanding and proven experience implementing REST web services in Java is required - Strong understanding of Object Oriented concepts - Demonstrated experience of Design and Development using Java based technologies. - In depth knowledge and experience of the Spring Framework. – nice to have - Understanding and experience with building performance (Speed and Accuracy) critical applications is required. - Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal are required. - Must possess PL/SQL programming and SQL tuning skills - Must be comfortable with test driven development and Continuous Integration (JUnit, Hudson, Code Coverage) - Experience with AWS is a must - Experience with web applications and JavaScript frameworks including Angular is a plus - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (Master’s Degree is Preferred) - Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal are required. - Must possess PL/SQL programming and SQL tuning skills - Must be comfortable with test driven development and Continuous Integration (JUnit, Hudson, Code Coverage) - Experience with AWS is a plus - Experience with web applications and JavaScript frameworks including Angular is a plus - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (Master’s Degree is Preferred) *Description:* *Here are our Objectives for 2016….* - Ability to allow Investor’s order intent to be communicated in a unambiguous manner while providing the ability to electronically track the intent with the execution of the order - Provide Investors an ability to create/approve complex orders, especially when they are away from the office - Provide the Portfolio Services team a Workflow based tool that will replace email and drive the execution of all tasks related to portfolio operations. - Provide Investors and Portfolio services team access to live monitor that will detect anomalies in Portfolios due to active or passive changes. - Provide tools that generate and deliver alerts in a manner that attracts immediate attention and is not lost in email. *Introduction* - The Portfolio Services team is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help develop and advance the Investment toolsets. In addition to working in a dynamic team that is well known for its attention to detail and excellent delivery record, this role will require close interactions with Engineering teams from other business units, Business analysts, Enterprise Architects and Infrastructure teams across the IS department. - This position requires proficiency and experience in Software development using Java based technologies. While prior business knowledge is not mandatory any experience in the financial industry will be a plus. *Responsibilities * - Work closely with Portfolio Engineering and Business Analyst teams to develop new and advance the existing Investment Tools - Ability to work independently with one or more business analysts and team of consultants to deliver Business solutions - Partner with in-house application and data architects while implementing systems requirements.
