The candidate should have expertise in carrying out the following tasks: · Strong in *Solaris and Linux administration* (different versions) · Configuration and administration of *Logical volume manager.* · Good knowledge and experience on *Unix Management tools* · Strong in *HA concepts, SAN/NAS environment * · Changing *Kernel Parameters* · *Patch and Package administration* · *Printer, NIS, NFS, Samba administration* · Backup administration using Veritas Netbackup (preferred), experience with any other D2D storage based backup product (good to have). · Strong in *troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue* · Strong knowledge in *Configuration and administration of Veritas products like VxVM, VCS*. · Writing shell/perl scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task · Experience in *System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity /Disaster recovery planning.* · Experience in *data center migration: P2V, V2V using tools like Platespin or VMware converter, lift/shift of servers, migration of data using any other tools* · Experience in handling large and critical environments · Highlighting of location specific risks to project manager and support for mitigation of risks · Training to operations team for sustenance, troubleshooting guides preparation *Preferred* • Certification on Solaris (System Administration, Hardware , Performance Tuning, Network Administration) • RHEL, VxVM/VCS is a plus • ITIL V3/V2 – desired. *Personal* Besides the professional qualifications of the candidates we place great importance in addition to various forms personality profile.
