They should have been business facing and should have done solutioning. Also they should have experience with Cognos 10. Looking for someone with good experience, not someone that has worked offshore or just done development only. Must have framework package/report studio experience and be able to start quickly! Responsibilities: • Elicit or analyze business requirements for Business Intelligence, Performance Management and Data Warehouse solutions • Design, develop and test Business Intelligence and Performance Management technical solutions per business need using Cognos 10.2 • Review complex modeling situations and implement solutions with variety of tools including framework manager, transformer, report studio, query studio, analysis studio etc. • Participates in gathering technical requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g., facilitated workshops, work sessions and interviews); performs technical analysis and design to the sub-system level (Technical) • Work with data warehouse/ETL architects and Cognos developers to lead the Cognos solutions to conclusion • Advise users on best practices for BI, PM and DW and drive better solutions for users via self-service. • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of IBM Cognos 10 BI product line and Data Warehousing tools - provide best practice advice and depth of knowledge on the IBM Cognos suite (best options and alternatives for designs and implementations) • Develop trusted relationships with executives and managers in IT and business departments Qualifications: • Minimum 10 years Business Intelligence experience with 7+ years experience with Cognos tools which includes at least 2+ year experience with Cognos 10.2 or higher • Business Acumen to facilitate iterative requirements definition and prototyping process with users • Management and technical consultation skills • Demonstrated expertise in complex modeling, complex report development, designing and configuring Cognos security for report re-usability • Ability to work in an on-shore / off-shore environment under tight deadlines • Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks as well as changing priorities • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience Nice to have: • Experience with other visualization tools like Tableau • Experience with Business Analysis • Experience with corporate and financial system reporting Thanks, Kevin Patel Technical Recruiter 50 Cragwood Rd, Suite 205, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Rider Consulting Inc.
