*QA Tester * *Odessa, FL* *6+ Months Contract* *Only Local to FL; Face to face interview required.* *Position Summary: * This role will perform the testing of software to certify that new and legacy firmware and software applications fully meet requirements, are error free, and are the best deliverable that can be produced to ensure proper operation while interacting with systems. *Duties and Responsibilities: * • Responsible for creating test deliverables for software projects according to processes and standards • Expected to work on several projects concurrently • Follow corporate and group software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes with an emphasis on ensuring quality of the end product • Ability to test and document products to ensure the highest quality • Generate reports, drill down into the reports and test for accuracy of the reports • Create comprehensive test Scripts and Test Cases for projects • Conduct functional, system, regression and smoke tests in multiple environments • Diagnose, report, track, and assist in resolving quality issues • Facilitate the code migration between Development and Production • Work independently in a fast paced, development environment • Execute strategic quality projects, enabling the QA team to meet aggressive quality and productivity objectives • Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence the development of new features and improve product usability *Competencies: * To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. • Analytical—the individual synthesizes complex or diverse information. • Problem solving—the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully. • Quality—the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. • Planning/organizing—the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. *Requirements: * • Required Minimum 2 years of similar QA Testing experience is required. • Experience with MS Office products. • Experience with web based products and testing • Experience in creating test scripts and test cases • Experience with testing support products and processes, such as defect tracking systems and software configuration controls • High attention to detail coupled with a strong commitment to the delivery of a high quality product • Have a proven track record in software testing and knowledge of formal QA testing methodologies • Interest in software technology and software testing paired with analytical thinking and knowledge of the creation of test plans, test cases • Superior written and verbal communication skills to document the features tested and the bugs that are found, and then report them to key stakeholders in the project.
