*JOB DESCRIPTION*



•  4-5 years of software development experience.

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing and implementing Splunk-based
solutions

• Core competencies in distributed technologies including Java/J2EE

• Deep understanding of Splunk architecture

• Previous project experience maintaining Splunk components (indexer,
forwarder, search head)

• Prior experience onboarding new data sources and setting up alerts
(formatting, standardization, etc)

• Previous experience implementing Splunk Best Practices (apps, add-ons,
searches, etc)

• Ability to write regex to perform field extractions at search time

• Experience writing Splunk queries to create complex Splunk dashboards
using simple XML

• Knowledge of app creation, user and role access permissions

• Good Understanding of Splunk configuration files
