The candidate will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with other very bright individuals working on new and exciting data driven projects. They will work in a supportive environment that encourages every team member to share their ideas, thoughts and cultivate their creative abilities. This is a highly visible position requiring interaction with all levels of management and supporting both the business and technology groups. Required Skills: The candidate must be able to function independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and be flexible to adapt as projects evolve. A strong team player, the candidate must be proficient at translating business needs to technical requirements. The candidate is expected to be vastly experienced in requirements gathering, system, data and workflow analysis, functional specifications, use-case writing, process and design diagrams. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must · Advanced Education :MBA and/or Masters in Finance, or Computer related field · 10-15 years of relevant experience as a Business · Experience in business analysis, data mining, data analysis, data visualization or business intelligence is a plus · Experience in working with C level executives on translating business needs to solution requirements · Type A personality, professional, energetic and self-motivated with a well defined work ethic · Ability to quickly understand advanced business and financial concepts, Insurance Industry (Property /Casualty) terms, processes, etc · Ability to create, deliver informative, well-organized presentations to all levels of the organization · Proficient at creating all SDLC documents including gathering and writing functional and system design specifications for web based, reporting and data solutions · Must be detail-oriented with abilities to multi-task and to effectively handle changing requirements · Experience in full development life cycle methodology including change management processes and ensuring changes are properly tested and migrated to production · Proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Visio · Able to understand MS Excel macros, SQL code Responsibilities: · Liaison between business partners and technical staff throughout project lifecycle · Work with project team to document, design and create innovative solutions · Specify, and conduct, the analysis using appropriate tools/techniques, and deliver high quality analysis · Work to the business users, along with actionable insights and recommendations · Leading large requirements gathering sessions and create assessments of currentbusiness processes/requirements · Provide direction to resources, monitor development efforts, assemble key project deliverables, report project status, and raise awareness on issues requiring escalation · Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
