Re[2]: [Clamav-users] New RPM package(clamav, postfix, spamassassin, mailscanner) - Updated
Hi all, I have created a new rpm package integrating postfix, spamassassin, clamav and mailscanner. This should help to eliminate the hassle of installing and making these applications work together. The latest package include: * Clamav: 0.87.1 * MailScanner: 4.47.4-1 * SpamAssassin: 3.1.0 * Postfix: 2.2.5 wow great job, if others can find where to download :) ___ http://lurker.clamav.net/list/clamav-users.html

Re: [Clamav-users] gfi.com iframe tests
Hi, at http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest/ you can submit your mailserver to some testing to see if it catches all viruses/exploits being sent to it. Now there seem to be 2 exploits that are not catched by clamav: ActiveX vulnerability test and Iframe remote vumnerability test. Both use an iframe with width and heighth 0 in an html mail (only exploitable on some outlook clients and with internet explorer as browser). Now I\'ve tested this with mcaffee (local) and kaspersky online scanner as well, and they do not see this as a virus/exploit as well, so is GFI a bit off here? Anybody can enter their email at the above link to get a sample of these 2 so-called exploits. with friendly regards, Franky i have the following setup, ClamAV with clamsmtpd with postfix Norton AV gateway -- Trend Micro Scan mail for Exchange. Only scanmail detect. i also notice that ClamAV fail to detect virus that comes as zip files. like [EMAIL PROTECTED] even tho i have the zip scan enabled. Re[2]: [Clamav-users] Clamav on Postfix (Happy Holidays to all)
Then, you (may) need something to connect postfix and clam, I personally favour clamsmtpd as it is lightweight, reliable and fast, but some amavis variant (and others) may help too. Sounds to me like you want clamsmtpd though... (read clam docs where and how!). clamsmtpd is clamd-0.80-2.0.rh9.rf.i386.rpm ? or any other smtpd that i have to download, where can i find it ? form www.clamav.net ??? Didn't I already say RTFM? I aint wasting bits from my bucket on general principle. Look for clamsmtp in docs. rpm -ql -p clamd-0.80-2.0.rh9.rf.i386.rpm would show you that clamsmtpd aint in that package. Hi all, thanks for all the help you gave me, the prb was the clamav should be installed in this order clamav-db clamav clamd does any one know where i can find the rpm for clamaSMTP ? --- Web Hosting at a cheap price, starting at $1 per month with your own domain, .COM, .NET, .LK, .ORG etc..
