[clamav-users] Native Version

2021-10-30 Thread Vaughn A. Hart
Hi Joel… et al.,

I saw the reply about the clambav version but I sent an email before
stating that there was a pkg version when this current version was in beta.
Right after I sent that email about the issues the pkg version it
disappeared. Not sure it’s to support clamxav or the other ports but I
think there will be much great support and success with a natively built
version.

Sincerely,

-Vaughn

I installed running the Mac OS installer pkg from the website. I did the
right-click to bypass Gatekeeper and the warning.

Are you aware that a release candidate is not ready for production
use - especially a 0.104 release candidate - and that there may be
things in the package which do not behave as might be expected?

I have never had a version of ClamAv on this machine. This was a first time
installation. Yes, I do realize this is a pre-production release and I'm OK
with it having things that might not work as expected. I'm grateful there
is even a Mac OS installer as I don't want to use homebrew or Xcode on this
system. I also ran through the configuration instructions with suggested
creating these files. I'll do an uninstall and try again.

Hi Folks,

So I figured out the issue. It looks like during the install/upgrade that
no files or folders are being written to /usr/local/ for the clamav folder.
Is there a way to complete this process?

I hope I'm not being too much a newb.
