[Clamav-users] The minimum configuration of clamAV

2005-03-22 Thread Kelvin
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am new in clamAV, I installed the clamAV-0.83 under Redhat AS3. After
installed the clamAV, I tried to run the clamd but failed. The system prompted
below ERROR:

ERROR: Please edit the example config file /usr/local/etc/clamd.conf.
ERROR: Can't open/parse the config file /usr/local/etc/clamd.conf

I read the conf file and many setting inside but I didn't know which one was
the most important option I had to define. What is the minimum configuration
to make the clamAV work?

I would appreciate if you could teach me.

Best regards,

Kelvin

make certain /usr/local/etc/clamd.conf can be read by the clamav user.

Commenting out the example line, as instructed in clamd.conf, perhaps.
