Guess you do qualify under combination (2).

4. VISUAL DISTRESS SIGNALS - Recreational boats 16 feet and over used on
coastal waters or the Great Lakes are required to carry a minimum of either (1)
3 day and 3 night pyrotechnic devices (like flares), (2) one day
non-pyrotechnic device (flag) and one night non-pyrotechnic device (auto SOS
light) or (3) a combination of (1) and (2)

I carry the flag also, but doubt anybody would react to seeing that.

Looking for experience on procurement and replacement of the Centerboard

signs of corrosion and pinhole weeping on the aft facing part of the lower
radius. Is this common?

Going through the list of sources for drawings (Marine Museum, South Shore

locally and schedule haul out once materials and dimensions are known.

It was originally designed tor coating the inside of gas pipelines to stop them
from corroding. The gelcoat has to be clean or it will film over any residue or
oxidation. They make a Marine version but the lumber store product is pretty
much or the same product. Safe on fibreglass just due prep work.

The electronic flares that flash SOS are acceptable replacements. You don't
have to carry pyrotechnic flares if you have an electronic one. You do need
a daytime signal such as a flag, since the laser flares are difficult to
see during the day.
