Stus-List repacking toerails
I need to repack the toe rails on my 32 C&C. The original packing was butyl. Compass Marine sells this but it is a very narrow and extremely thin material, less wide than the toe rails. Does anyone have a source or know the original source of the material used by C&C? If so please contact me at JARieber@aol. Thanks___ This list is supported by the generous donations of our members. I would like to contact Richard Tieleu who has a posting on the site demonstrating toe rail recaulking. I need to do this work this winter, however I cannot find the material he used in the width that he had. Jesse A. Stus-List repacking toe rails
I am going to recaulk the toe rails and hull to deck joint on my 32' C&C. After long consideration I will be doing this with butyl tape from Compass Marine. I would be pleased to hear any advice I can get on this process, particularly placing the tape between the top lip of the hull and the white rub rail. As I recall from my work on my 24' C&C, this rub rail material was pop rivited to the lip on the hull. Jesse A.
