Re: Stus-List Northeast Rendezvous 2015

Listers,

The Enterprise has returned home to City Island (Starbase One) after battling 
50 knots (57.5mph) of breeze on the nose for 36 miles between Black Rock Harbor 
and City Island (see:

). It was 
like experiencing 6 hours of The Deadliest Catch. 

Thanks to all who attended the Rendezvous. It was an enormous pleasure seeing 
old friends again and making new ones — as well as seeing others’ C&Cs. In the 
spirit of Rob’s email, some of my favorite moments were (in no particular 
order):

Meeting Stu
Both of our group dinners
Rob Gallagher’s reaction to the Enterprise’s interior: “Oh F—. I F—ing hate 
you. I really F—ing hate you.” and then telling others: “Don’t go in there."
War stories on board Corsair 
The flying Chinese candles
Flamingos 
David Risch wobble-ly announcing he was “shnookered” - as if we ALL did not 
already know
Cedar Island Marina’s facilities and staff

Thank you also to Mohegan Sun Casino for the cards, loaded dice and cozies, and 
thanks to Good Old Boat Magazine for the back issues.

Hats of to Ed For putting together a wonderful weekend.

Notable events, not in any particular order:

Getting to meet Stu and here war stories about the list and its history,
more intriguing that I would have imagined.

Launching Chinese lanterns from the cockpit of Corsair sometime during the
Whiskey tasting.

Ice delivered to my boat by the great staff at Cedar Island Marina.

Waking with a headache and ashtray mouth.

Meeting up with new friends and old.  Notably the Friday night get together
and Saturday afternoon "boat show"

Pulling Aurora off a soft grounding.

Aft cabin envy after a tour of Enterprise.

I'm already looking forward to next year!  Stay tuned for exciting
announcements.
