We were there Sunday. (Along with 80 NYYC boats) didn’t know they’d be there. Tried to anchor for an hour. Dale, my hero put us on a private mooring. Zero wind at bedtime. Woke up to 30 kt gusts. 6 am, Boats moved and one on the rocks. Can’t imagine a worse way to wake up. Two official boats attempting to pull them off. I’m going to invest in more chain and a better anchor. Great broad reach to Old Saybrook that morning. At least the start that is.
