Lotta sheet metal screws right there. I would imagine butyl tape when
reinstalling?
Good project for when she's under the Fairclough cover. Gotta fix a Bomar
hatch hinge as well.

Good suggestion by Jim Watts. I replaced my traveler with one from Harken. I
kept the aluminum channel, and replaced the Schaeffer track with a Harken high
profile track. You can use the existing mounting holes .

It also gives you an opportunity to upgrade the traveler while you have the
whole thing apart...it's a slippery slope.

Alan got it right. I’ve replaced mine the same way. It’s easy, but tedious.
After about 12/13 years, it’s almost time to do it again. Mine is a bit crazed.

Remove the traveler support and the sea hood. My sea hood is held in place by
sheet metal screws. The traveler support is through bolted, with access from

I never did mine, but thought about it. I think you need to remove the
traveler to remove the sprayhood, Then it should be exposed.

OR, mine was held in with a screw at the forward end of the plexi. Cut the
screw and remove the old one, and don't put a screw in the new one.
