We use it all the time. WM used to have a longer back version, as well. It supports your back quite well and it can be used flat, as a cockpit cushion. We have cockpit cushions, but usually, we just use these folding seats instead. Marek

I added some longitudinal stringers to a 24 foot racer years ago. The owner wanted to strengthen the hull in the aft section. Hi Davis, This is a very good question. I would drop the keel and restore the stringer/hull integrity first! This is the basis of your keel/hull interface.
