[cobirds] Possible Anna’s hummingbird, Jefferson County

2019-06-05 Thread modise
At about 4:45 this afternoon, I had a good candidate fir an Anna’s hummingbird
on my feeder - looked just like the adult female in Sib! I’m waiting patiently
with a camera hoping she returns. I live in Woodmar Square, just north of Coal
Mine and east of Wadsworth (Littleton).

[cobirds] Bobolinks at Cherryvale

2019-06-05 Thread Karen Drozda
Hi. Leading a trip Sunday June 9th to Eldorado Canyon and Cherryvale. If
you are up there this weekend would appreciate a "heads up" if they have
mowed that field.
Hoping the Bobolinks hang around a little longer. Thanks. Karen

[cobirds] Re: Heron? need id Boulder County Gross Reservoir

2019-06-05 Thread Carl Bendorf
The long neck that's folded back during flight is a good clue for Great
Blue Heron. The dark color eliminates Great Egret.
