[cobirds] Re: RFI-- Red-flanked Bluetail

2019-11-06 Thread Dave Cameron
Yeah, I assumed no sightings, given the lack of report. What might be
useful is stories of the extent to which it was searched for, what time,
how long, how many, etc. If no one went, it might be worth a chase. If 20
ppl were there for 5 hrs and came up empty, that'd be a different plan.

Looking over e-bird reports from the area in Albany County today and
yesterday, there are still no sightings since Monday afternoon. Hopefully
it is on the way to Pueblo for the winter.

[cobirds] Sandhill Crane on Ground Arapaho’s County

2019-11-06 Thread David Bailey
I know many of you have seen some Sandhill Crane flyovers this fall but my
brother, Mitchell, has one pointed out to him at the Big Dry screen East
Trailhead behind Littleton HS. It’s sitting nicely in a field for anyone who
wants photos.

[cobirds] Snow Goose and Northern Shrike, Boulder County

2019-11-06 Thread Paula Hansley
CObirders,
This morning the Boulder Bird Club saw a juvenile Snow Goose (white head,
gray back) at Sawhill-Walden Ponds. It was in a small pond with some
Cackling geese near the center of the Sawhill part of the area.

We also saw a Northern Shrike close to the wooden bird blind in the Sawhill
area.

Pictures of the Snow Goose will be posted on eBird.
