[cobirds] Bohemian Waxwings, Hoosier Pass
Saw roughly 25 (give or take 5) Bohemian Waxwings late Sunday afternoon, 3/25, driving south toward the summit of Hoosier Pass. Perching at tops of trees--not terribly close since the trees were very high. I believe there are three major hairpins on Colorado 9 above where I saw the birds. Point was plotted accurately on eBird. [cobirds] Loons/El Paso County
Three loons (2 Common, 1 Pacific) remain at Big Johnson Reservoir. The trick is that you usually can't see them by setting up a scope at the SW corner. Typically, you're going to have to walk a little around the south side to where you can see the water close to the dam in the NW corner. That seems to be where they hang out. Hopefully, you get good light. This afternoon wasn't great light with the overcast conditions. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
