At 8:15 AM while out on a morning run we stopped at the deadend of Cedar Valley Drive (adjacent to Morey's) to watch a dozen deer in the field when 32 cranes came gliding into the second further field to the west and started foraging. [cobirds] Virginia's Warblers - Lory SP Larimar
If you are interested in finding Virginia's warblers, I highly recommend Lory State Park. My wife and I spent a day hiking several trails last week. We saw Virginia's warblers in three locations; Well Gulch Trail (half way up). Arthur's Rock Trail (approx. 200 feet up the beginning of the trail from parking lot) and then on the West Valley Trail. Seen yesterday 2:45 PM exactly where describe at Lee Martinez Community Park (park at tennis courts walk in on paved path then turn left) about 30 yards west of 0.5 mile marker, 10 yards east of culvert, look where large logs and brush have fallen over stream. He was moving quietly among the logs near the water. Very poor photo included on eBird...
