Hi all

I was out mowing our landscaped backyard habitat starting with western 
half. As I moved to begin mowing eastern side a Long-eared Owl flew out by 
me from one of our trees at eye-level to continue roosting in our western 
windbreak. It remained there until dark. I believe our third one in being 
up here. Pretty cool.

More colors of spring new from previous report ...

   - Lazuli Bunting - 2
   - Green-tailed Towhee - 1
   - Brown Thrasher - 1

Elsewhere in Weld County ...

   - Large group of assorted gulls loafing in field flood across from Weld 
   County Landfill along Hwy 14 near Severance
   - About 150-200 Red-necked Phalarope at Loloff Reservoir along with a 
   lone Forster's Tern
