Binoculars are just fine as well as patience to wait for the birds to get on a 
perch and show themselves. It's a big field so there's plenty of room for the 
redwings, too.

Are those way out on the east side of the field, requiring a scope to see?  
I was there with binoculars 2 weeks ago and could see only red-winged 
blackbirds.
