So there is no need to write an own action, in my opinion as long as you are not need too specific tasks to be accomplished with these action. ciao Lars -Ursprüngliche Nachricht- Von: Christoph Stocker [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Gesendet: Montag, 16. AW: url rewriting
hi, sorry to write directly to you. can you send my by attachement your compiled EncodeURLTransformer.class greetings chris -Ursprüngliche Nachricht- Von: Christopher Painter-Wakefield [mailto:paint007;mc.duke.edu] Gesendet: Dienstag, 22. Oktober 2002 19:34 An: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Betreff: Re: url rewriting Chris, I don't know much about actions, so I can't help you too much with that. However, I can offer some hints on the EncodeURLTransformer. Basically, it has a bug. The first time you hit a page, it fails to rewrite the URLs. This works for some frameworks, in which the first page is a login page, with the form action manually rewritten in XSP, and then all subsequent pages are rewritten. Someone else posted on the mailing list a while back (http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=xml-cocoon-usersm=103241658409677w=2) , but it doesn't appear to have been picked up by the Cocoon developers; it's been on my to-do list for a little while to add this to bugzilla, so I'll try to take the time to do that today. In the meantime, to fix the bug, we changed the source code for EncodeURLTransformer, compiled it, and put it in our cocoon.jar in place of the old one. I think you can also just put it in WEB-INF/classes, if you are using Tomcat, but we didn't try that. Anyway, you can use the fix suggested in the link above, or you can try ours. Ours is maybe a bit simpler, but you tend to get URLs rewritten on the first page regardless of whether the browser needs it, which doesn't hurt anything but might bother some people. Our fix is: replace: if ( request.isRequestedSessionIdFromURL()) { with: if ( request.isRequestedSessionIdFromURL() || this.session.isNew()) { in the setup() method. -Christopher hi all! i use win200, cocoon2.0.2, weblogic6.0sp2 i tried url-rewriting in my action--- Map sitemapParams = new HashMap(); Request req = ObjectModelHelper.getRequest(objectModel); Session session = req.getSession(); if (session.isNew()) { // data i want to read out in my xsp-site session.setAttribute(data, myObject); sitemapParams.put(nextpage, home); } as it is given in the documentation my sitemap looks as following -- map:match pattern=startOR map:act type=ORAction map:generate src=orneu/{nextpage}.xsp type=serverpages/ !--map:generate src=orneu/registrierung1.xsp type=serverpages/-- map:transform src=orneu/xml2html.xsl type=xslt/ map:transform type=encodeURL/ /map:act map:serialize type=html/ /map:match also i configured my weblogic, not to use cookies -- see may attached weblogic.xml but every time, i go a second time in my action, it seems that the action creates every time a new session and my session-data is lost i studied the EncodeURLTransformer, but it doesn't helped me (i don't know how to in my action use this) has someone a code-example who to write a cocoon-action with url-rewriting. what do i wrong? please help! greetings, chris - Please check that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ before posting. http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faq/index.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Please check that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ before posting. http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faq/index.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

urlRewriting
hi all, i read the documentation and i found out the following-- to use url-rewriting in cocoon, i just turn of the use of cookies for session-handling (i did this in my weblogic.xml) and add the following in my sitemap, where my web-app is called map:transform type=encodeURL/ so my sitemap looks as following map:match pattern=startOR map:act type=ORAction map:generate src=orneu/{nextpage}.xsp type=serverpages/ map:transform src=orneu/xml2html.xsl type=xslt/ map:transform type=encodeURL/ /map:act map:serialize type=html/ /map:match where ORAction is my action i rad out the data from the request and put in the data into the session ( for example -- session.setAttribute(item, an Object)) to read it out in the xsp-sites. is this ok greetings, chris - Please check that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ before posting. http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faq/index.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

session problem (get mixed data)
hi! i use weblogic6.0sp2, hp-ux and cocoon2.0.2 i have a session-problem with cocoon in the following way -- if a client connects to my webapplication, he gets data, like adresses. then on the other way, a second client connects to the server and also requests data. so in some cases it could happen, that one client sees the data of the other client. my mention is, that i have a session problem, that data is shown to a user don't belong to him. in my action i look if its a new session (get the session from request). if this is so, i read the parameters given with the url and write it into the session. is there another request, i look again, if the session is new - if it is, i do the step described before - if not, i get the data from the related session. so i have a lot of sesisons objects on the server. some times it could happen, that a user gets data from session-objects, don't belong to him. i don't know, if my solution of session handling is the best - maybe i do it wrong. what is my problem? is there a better solution? greetings, chris - Please check that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ before posting. http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/faq/index.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

define elements.xsl
hi! i have a test.xsp and a test.xsl and a elements.xsl i use tags like input, span, div, in my XSP-page. so i write a elements.xsl which defines these tags like (i put the elements.xsl also as attachement) -- xsl:template match=div div xsl:if test=@id!='' xsl:attribute name=idxsl:value-of select=@id//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@class!='' xsl:attribute name=classxsl:value-of select=@class//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@style!='' xsl:attribute name=stylexsl:value-of select=@style//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:apply-templates/ /div /xsl:template i import these elements.xsl in the testxsl, so all my tags in the xsp-site are defined. is there a possibility to write down this in a logicsheet, so that i have not to import the elements.xsl in the test.xsl and define the logicsheet in the xsp-page? i tried the logicsheet (mylogic.xsl) at http://www.cocooncenter.de/cc/documents/resources/logicsheet/filelist.ht ml it works fine - i want to add a template given above for div -- but this doesn't work (no div is written out to my page. what's wrong with my logicsheet. greetings, chris ?xml version=1.0? xsl:stylesheet version=1.0 xmlns:xsl=http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform; xsl:template match=form form xsl:if test=@name!='' xsl:attribute name=namexsl:value-of select=@name//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@class!='' xsl:attribute name=classxsl:value-of select=@class//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@style!='' xsl:attribute name=stylexsl:value-of select=@style//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@action!='' xsl:attribute name=actionxsl:value-of select=@action//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@method!='' xsl:attribute name=methodxsl:value-of select=@method//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:apply-templates/ /form /xsl:template xsl:template match=div div xsl:if test=@id!='' xsl:attribute name=idxsl:value-of select=@id//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@class!='' xsl:attribute name=classxsl:value-of select=@class//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@style!='' xsl:attribute name=stylexsl:value-of select=@style//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:apply-templates/ /div /xsl:template xsl:template match=a a xsl:if test=@id!='' xsl:attribute name=idxsl:value-of select=@id//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@class!='' xsl:attribute name=classxsl:value-of select=@class//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@style!='' xsl:attribute name=stylexsl:value-of select=@style//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@href!='' xsl:attribute name=hrefxsl:value-of select=@href//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@name!='' xsl:attribute name=namexsl:value-of select=@name//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:apply-templates/ /a /xsl:template xsl:template match=span span xsl:if test=@id!='' xsl:attribute name=idxsl:value-of select=@id//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@class!='' xsl:attribute name=classxsl:value-of select=@class//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@style!='' xsl:attribute name=stylexsl:value-of select=@style//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:apply-templates/ /span /xsl:template xsl:template match=p p xsl:if test=@align!='' xsl:attribute name=alignxsl:value-of select=@align//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:apply-templates/ /p /xsl:template xsl:template match=input input xsl:if test=@id!='' xsl:attribute name=idxsl:value-of select=@id//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@class!='' xsl:attribute name=classxsl:value-of select=@class//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@name!='' xsl:attribute name=namexsl:value-of select=@name//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@style!='' xsl:attribute name=stylexsl:value-of select=@style//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@value!='' xsl:attribute name=valuexsl:value-of select=@value//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@type!='' xsl:attribute name=typexsl:value-of select=@type//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@maxlength!='' xsl:attribute name=maxlengthxsl:value-of select=@maxlength//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@size!='' xsl:attribute name=sizexsl:value-of select=@size//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@disabled!='' xsl:attribute name=disabledxsl:value-of select=@disabled//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@checked!='' xsl:attribute name=checkedxsl:value-of select=@checked//xsl:attribute /xsl:if xsl:if test=@readonly!='' xsl:attribute name=readonlyxsl:value-of

Include external javascript file
hi! hi i had the same problem - i solved id the way described by Fabien! i solved the problem with the answeres i got in this mail-group. look a few mails (should be yesterday) before in the mail archive (Subject is: realtive path). if you don't find it - tell me. greetings, chris -Original Message- From: TREGAN Fabien [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Mittwoch, 29. Mai 2002 13:48 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: Include external javascript file Because it's cleaner :) The thing you must remember is that ANAY request tht start with /cocoon/ is sent to COCOON. If in cocoon/myapp/index.html (wich is generated by cocoon), you have a relative link myscript.js, the browser will ask the web server for cocoon/myapp/myscript.js. The server know that all cocoon/** url are handle by cocoon, so it ask Cocoon (the servlet) for myapp/myscript.js, because it doesn't know that myapp/script.js must be processed differently from myapp/index.html. So what you must do is have a cocoon pipeline that match *.js and send (via a reader) the .js file. Since you want it to be clean, you put all the .js's in a myapp/js directory. Now you understood, you can do the same for *.gif, *.bmp, *.doc, ... Another way to serve .js is to use an URL wich is out of the /cocoon/* path (ex : use an absolute path to http://myserver/js/toto.js, so cocoon won't be concerned by the request) hope it's clearer (i doubt :) fabien. -Message d'origine- De: Rajeev Singh [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Date: mercredi 29 mai 2002 13:38 À: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Objet: RE: Include external javascript file I have a silly question, Why do we put {1}.js in js/{1}.js ? -Original Message- From: Bert Van Kets [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, May 29, 2002 1:49 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Include external javascript file You must add a pipeline for every filetype you wish to call in your application. Put your *.js files in the js directory and add the following to your pipelines map:match pattern=*.js map:read src=js/{1}.js mime-type=text/javascript/ /map:match Now you can call any external javascript file directly, but it will be served from the js directory. Adjust to your liking. Bert At 12:54 28/05/2002 -0700, you wrote: A cocoon newbie question: I am trying to include a javascript function from an external .js file into my xsl stylesheet. I have the following in the xsl stylesheet: head ... script src=cold_reverse_script.js language=javascript /script /head The file cold_reverse_script.js is in the same directory as the xsl stylesheet contains javascript code for a single function: -- - -- function cold_reverse_search_criteria() { javascript code . } -- - --- I have this entry in my sitemap: map:match pattern=**.js map:read src={1}.js mime-type=text/jscript/ /map:match (I've also tried text/javascript). However, this does not work. I get error on page whenever I try to access the javascript function from the .js file. When I look at the source for the HTML page in the browser, it shows script src=cold_reverse_script.js language=javascript /script just as I've written it in the xsl file, but does not show the code that is in the .js file. If I put the javascript function code directly into the script/script tags, it works fine, but I'd like to use the external .js file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
