[CODE4LIB] Seeking a Concierge volunteer for Code4Lib 2016

2016-02-25 Thread Haley, Kathleen M.
Hello again,

We have one new volunteer position open for the conference. We'd like to get
one more person to volunteer as a Concierge to assist your fellow
conference-goers locate evening activities and make recommendations about local
restaurants and points of interest. Ideally, this would be somebody local to
Philadelphia who could be available from 5:00 to about 6:00 p.m. on Monday
(when dinner groups are assembling), and from 5:00 to 5:30 on both Tuesday and
Wednesday.

To sign up, just edit the wiki page at
http://wiki.code4lib.org/2016_Conference_Volunteers and add your name to the
"Concierge" list. If you need a wiki account, please email Ryan Wick at
ryanw...@gmail.com>.
If you'd prefer not to get a wiki account just contact me and I'll be glad to
add your name to the volunteers list.

See you in Philadelphia!

[CODE4LIB] Last call for an IRC volunteer for the conference

2016-02-23 Thread Haley, Kathleen M.
Thank you again to everybody who has already volunteered to help out at
Code4Lib 2016! There's just one more job we'd like to fill before the
conference:

IRC (Technical): One person to be available before sessions begin (i.e., during
morning registration times) to demonstrate how to get onto #code4lib and to
offer support for newcomers in #code4lib during the conference.

To sign up, just edit the wiki page at
http://wiki.code4lib.org/2016_Conference_Volunteers and add your name to the
"Helper" bullet under "IRC (Technical)." If you need a wiki account, please
email Ryan Wick at
ryanw...@gmail.com>.
If you'd prefer not to get a wiki account just contact me and I'll be glad to
add your name to the volunteers list.

See you in Philadelphia!

haven't already volunteered, please consider one of the following:

* Conference Logistics: One more person needed to help with set up on
Monday.

* Social Networking: One more person to answer general questions on
Twitter and IRC throughout the conference. One person to ask questions on the
microphone on Thursday on behalf of the community.

* Livestream: Three people to serve as backup minders of the livestream
equipment if the technician needs a break. We need one person each for Tuesday
morning, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

* IRC (Technical): One person to be available before sessions begin to
demonstrate how to get onto #code4lib and to offer support for newcomers in
#code4lib during the conference.

To sign up, just edit the wiki page at
http://wiki.code4lib.org/2016_Conference_Volunteers and add your name to the
list for the job you'd like. If you need a wiki account, please email Ryan Wick
at
ryanw...@gmail.com>.
If you'd prefer not to get a wiki account just contact me and I'll be glad to
add your name to the volunteers list.
