Re: [CODE4LIB] Short and easy JPEG2000 survey

Yes, that is a known flaw in the survey design. Christy told me
earlier: "I just realised I'll have no way to know if I'm getting
multiple responses from single institutions - oh well, I'll just have to
caveat that when I disseminate the results."

Hello,
I am conducting a short survey to find out how many people are using
JPEG2000 in the cultural heritage industry, and to what extent. I’ll
be presenting the results in November at a forthcoming JPEG2000 event,
and will distribute the results on these mailing lists.
I would be extremely grateful if you could complete this survey.

[CODE4LIB] In chicago - Residents tickets

2013-02-14 Thread Paul Fogel
I should have sent this message earlier, but if you are in Chicago on Friday
evening, the Residents are playing at Schuba's at 9pm
(http://www.songkick.com/concerts/14839734-residents-at-schubas). I have an
extra pair of tickets that I don't need. The show isn't sold out, but I'm
happy to strike a deal (ticket face value = $25).

Why do I think code4libbers would be interested? The tour is named "Wonder of
Weird" tour.

If interested, email or text me at: 510.289.2661.

being transformed and the environment in which the transformation is taking
place.

This position also serves as an analyst in assisting in the evaluation and

digitization projects and to prepare CDL programs and services for
interaction with this content.

About Mass Digitization:
Millions of books from the University of California Libraries are being
scanned through our participation in mass digitization projects with major
partners such as Google, Microsoft and the Open Content Alliance. To do
this economically and with some speed, mass digitization is based on the
efficient photographing of books, page-by-page, and subjecting those images
to OCR software to produce searchable text. Mass digitization projects
expand the ability of University libraries to give faculty, students and the
public access to an astounding wealth of information and explore exciting
new service models and paradigms.

About the California Digital Library:
Established in 1997, The California Digital Library, an Oakland-based unit
of the University of California Office of the President, supports the
assembly and creative use of the world's scholarship and knowledge for the
University of California libraries and the communities they serve. In so
doing, it directly supports the University's mission of teaching, research,
and public service.

The CDL also maintains its own distinctive programs emphasizing the
development and management of digital collections, innovation in scholarly
publishing, and the long-term preservation of digital information. See
http://www.cdlib.org for more information.
