Hi Karen -

UCSD has implemented Shibboleth as our central campus authentication mechanism,
and currently provides SSO access to selected campus services.

We're one of six participating campuses in the InCommon Library/Shibboleth
project, where the current focus is on simplifying access to electronic
commercial resources, particularly within a hybrid environment where some
vendor resources are Shibboleth enabled and others use IP authentication. The
campuses are currently piloting solutions at their campuses and are working to
identify recommended technologies and best practices.

UCSD is also testing Shibboleth authenticated access to our III ILS services.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have additional questions.
Thanks!

Holly
