[CODE4LIB] Lynda.com?

2015-11-13 Thread Sarah Shealy
Does anyone use Lynda.com for both patrons/students AND staff development? Do
you have both a pro account and a library account?

Thanks for your input!

We have Lynda.com and started with both the pro and library accounts, but found
that staff typically would just use the library account because the process of
using the pro account was cumbersome.

We provide access to Lynda via one workstation (via IP address).

It's not used much. Colleagues and I find it very useful. In school at UIUC
there was university-wide access via Shibboleth, and I saw it used pretty
heavily.

Hi Sarah,

We are using the library account at PRPLD. We did a soft roll out for staff
back in August.

Hi Sarah,

We have a campus-wide agreement with Lynda.com that uses our campus
single-sign-on authentication to grant full access to students, faculty,
and staff. It's one of the best investments TTU has made, in my opinion. My
team uses their materials all the time for professional development, and
the students love it too.
